Ghana Developing Communities Association (GDCA) in collaboration with its Danish partners Ghana Friendship Groups in Denmark (GV) and other partners have started to implement a new programme, Empowerment for Life programme. The new programme has three components, namely Complementary Basic Education and Youth Employment, Civil Society Strengthening and Community-Managed Livelihood Improvement The new programme offers exciting job opportunities for the following positions for immediate employment<\/p>\n

Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Empowerment for Life (E4L) is a Danida funded Programme being implemented by the Ghana Developing Communities Association (GDCA), the Youth Employment for Life (YEfL) and their Danish partner, the Ghana Friendship Groups. The Programme applies a rights-based approach, involving strategic service delivery on a moderate scale to support its advocacy work with the aim of reducing poverty in its operational area – 15 districts of the Northern Region. The Programme works in the areas of Education, Water &\u00a0sanitation, Community-based Networks, Food Security, Youth Empowerment and Employment, with the overarching focus of civil society strengthening.<\/p>\n

The Programme is running into its second phase, starting January 2012 to December 2014 and has vacancy for the following position.
\n<\/em>
\nThe objective of the Food for Life is to empower communities to advocate for their rights to agricultural services and to promote best farming practices and innovations. The Food for Life is being implemented in three districts. As part of its strategies, a “Think Tank” (TT) has been put in place to help achieve the objective of optimizing research and local farmers’ efforts to address food security in relation to climate change adaptation in Northern Ghana.<\/p>\n
