The selected candidate will be based in Tamale, Ghana and will report to the Officer \u2013 Finance and Administration.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Finance and Administration Assistant<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Finance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Control petty cash to ensure a proper reimbursement.<\/li>\n<li>Checks appropriateness of payment supporting documents; checks the availability of funds before effective payment.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures the full recording and completeness of transactions in USD and Local Currency.<\/li>\n<li>Accomplishes monthly cash position report and submit to the supervisor and HQ.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of Monthly Bank reconciliation and General ledger accounts reconciliation.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitates annual internal audit requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Support with the administration the process accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure a correct accounting.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the division files for contracts, grants and agreements to guarantee the respect agreements to the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Realize accounting and financial tasks to contribute with the production of finance and account reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Administration<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support and help coordinate fleet Management, including vehicle log review and reconciliation with user signatures, fuel purchased, vehicle maintenance, mileage calculation\/verification and donor vehicle and fuel use.<\/li>\n<li>Tags or Marks fixed assets upon receipts of the fixed assets purchased and before deploying the assets in a fixed asset register. Support yearly fixed asset inventory.<\/li>\n<li>Support in Office Management, IT and office security in liaison with the country Finance and Admin Officer and Risk safety and security Officer in HQ.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance and Economics.<\/li>\n<li>1 year of professional experience in accounting preferably in a non-profit environment.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in accounting skills.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced skills in utilizing Excel.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of local tax regulations and labor law.<\/li>\n<li>Accounting techniques and trends.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and teamwork skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desirable<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accounting software packages.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication and English writing skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>General information:<\/strong>\u00a0The position is Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) position limited to Ghana nationals and permanent residents only. The contract will be for an initial period of three years (with a 6-month probation period).
