{"id":67708,"date":"2022-05-25T16:38:53","date_gmt":"2022-05-25T16:38:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=67708"},"modified":"2022-05-25T16:38:53","modified_gmt":"2022-05-25T16:38:53","slug":"golder-jobs-2022-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/golder-jobs-2022-3.html","title":{"rendered":"Golder Jobs 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Golder is not just a place to work, it is a promise of a living, dynamic environment where people collaborate, innovate, build enduring relationships, excel, and grow professionally in a strong culture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Junior Accountant<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Golder Associates Ghana is seeking a\u00a0<strong>Junior Accountant<\/strong>\u00a0to ensure the delivery of a highly professional service to the Company by taking ownership of the Ghana Finance function within the\u00a0<strong>Finance BU<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Duties And Responsibilities Will Include<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To ensure the delivery of a highly professional service to the Company by taking ownership of various functions relating to the following categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trade payables<\/li>\n<li>Various Tax returns filing<\/li>\n<li>Obtain WHT certificates<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with GRA<\/li>\n<li>Admin related as delegated by the Regional Financial Lead<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Above Responsibilities Include<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Accurately prepare monthly payment reconciliations of creditor account statements against the A\/P supplier statements to BST as required.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure invoices are properly authorized in accordance with levels of authority.<\/li>\n<li>To follow up on invoices not yet authorised or not yet received from suppliers daily.<\/li>\n<li>Accurately process \/ capture invoices in BST \/ Accounts Payable in order to effect payment on time.<\/li>\n<li>Managing creditors and payment on due dates as per age analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Check &amp; match invoices against orders.<\/li>\n<li>Resolve queries on creditor accounts as delegated by the Creditor Lead.<\/li>\n<li>Request for journals where necessary.<\/li>\n<li>To correct supplier &amp; General Ledger accounts daily.<\/li>\n<li>Accurately reconcile G\/L and creditors accounts on a monthly basis.<\/li>\n<li>Embraces concept of leading and promoting health and safety culture.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Skills, Qualifications, and Experience<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Matric and related tertiary qualification e.g. Bookkeeping Diploma or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Min 3 years\u2019 experience in full function Creditors \/ accounts payable<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of age analysis of accounts and understand general ledger structures<\/li>\n<li>Excellent professional work standard \/ high ethics<\/li>\n<li>Strong customer service orientation<\/li>\n<li>Must have a flair strong for accounting \/ figures<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills (English) on all levels<\/li>\n<li>Enjoy working in a team<\/li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving skills (queries)<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail and high level of accuracy<\/li>\n<li>Must be a self-starter with a positive attitude<\/li>\n<li>Able to work independently and proactively without supervision<\/li>\n<li>Results driven<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work against and meet deadlines in all circumstances<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain strict confidentiality &amp; high levels of integrity<\/li>\n<li>Taking full ownership, responsibility and accountability in all tasks<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure, multitask and prioritize<\/li>\n<li>Excellent time management and organisational skills<\/li>\n<li>General computer literate (Windows, MS Word, Excel &amp; Outlook)<\/li>\n<li>BST or BWO<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Your Benefits At Golder Will Include<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deepen your expertise in a dynamic work environment<\/li>\n<li>Innovative and collaborative multidisciplinary projects<\/li>\n<li>Competitive benefits and remuneration packages<\/li>\n<li>On the job training, mentoring and coaching<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to work closely with our water teams in South Africa, Australia, Europe, US and Canada.<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to work closely with our Environment, Waste and Engineering teams<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to develop your career in the specific area of your interest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Renowned for technical excellence, Golder, a member of WSP, is a leading global specialised engineering and consulting organisation with over 60 years of successful service to its clients.
