Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited (PMGL) has recently commissioned the world-class Edikan gold project in the Western Region of Ghana. Edikan Gold Mine (EGM) has a current mining reserve of 3.3M oz of gold from a resource base of 4.3M oz. The Edikan processing facility has been designed as a 5.5Mtpa processing facility with the ability to expand this to 8Mtpa in the future. The plant is capable of producing at a rate of 220-270,000oz gold<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Senior Industrial Relations Officer will assist the HR &amp; Administration Manager to lead the HR and Administration Department in managing employment condition and related issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:-<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enforce the Mine Regulation Act and Regulation clauses that apply to Industrial relations;<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement employee engagement systems and strategies to promote effective communication between management and workers to ensure harmonious industrial climate<\/li>\n<li>Develop assessment tools for measuring the effectiveness of employee engagement and communication interventions;<\/li>\n<li>Educate workers regularly on company policies and procedures and workers&#8217;\u00a0Collective Agreements;<\/li>\n<li>Educate managers and supervisors on company policies and procedures as well as provisions in Collective Agreements relating to employee disciplinary issues;<\/li>\n<li>Participate in employee disciplinary process and grievance handling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>The position is site based and the Company offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the candidates&#8217; qualifications and experience.<br \/>\n<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The successful applicant must possess Bachelor&#8217;s\u00a0Degree in Industrial Relations or Social Sciences with at least 5 years experience in similar position, considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of good industrial relations, labour law, labour regulations and policies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested qualified applicants should submit one MSWord document only which includes a cover letter, detailed CV of his\/her qualifications and work history and the names of at least 3 referees.
