He\/she will report to the Director General with responsibilities as follows:<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\nGenerally responsible for the day to day administration and operations of the Television Division.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specific Duties Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Initiate, develop and implement approved policies designed to maintained highest standard of programme production and programming<\/li>\n<li>Initiate and implement strategies to engender creativity and innovation in programme production and programming in the Television Division<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the Corporation&#8217;s television service broadcasts programmes reflect the diverse interests of the national audience and are in line with national goals and aspirations<\/li>\n<li>Manage staff of the Television Division to ensure optimal output<\/li>\n<li>Identify the training and development needs of staff in the Division and ensure that the needs are met<\/li>\n<li>Co-ordinate work with all the Divisions to meet and advance corporate objectives<\/li>\n<li>Prepare annual budget in accordance with established procedures and prudently manage and control funds and resources of the Television Division<\/li>\n<li>Provide regular management information to facilitate decision making<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties assigned by the Director General<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Candidates must have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>High level of management and planning skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent analytical and report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills<\/li>\n<li>Team leader, team builder and team player skills<\/li>\n<li>High level of computer literacy<\/li>\n<li>Wide intellectual interests, an awareness of the social needs of the nation and a good perspective of current trends in the development of television and broadcasting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master&#8217;s Degree or its equivalent from a recognised University preferably in the Social Sciences or relevant field in media studies with at least eight (8) years relevant post qualification experience OR<\/li>\n<li>A good First Degree or its equivalent from a recognised University with more than ten (10) years relevant post qualification experience, five (5) of which must be in administrative capacity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All qualified persons are to submit an application letter, detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), photocopies of certificates with the contact telephone number(s), email address, names and addresses of two (2) referees to:<\/p>\n<div>\n<strong>The Director General<br \/>\nGhana Broadcasting Corporation<br \/>\nBroadcasting House<br \/>\nP.
