SW Global recruits <strong>Junior Legal Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Job Title: Junior Legal Officer<\/h2>\n<p>Accra, Ghana<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Objective<\/strong><br \/>\nAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a junior counsel, legal executive or equivalent to work alongside the Corporate Counsel of this busy in-house Legal department based in Accra, Ghana.<br \/>\n<strong>Description<\/strong><br \/>\nAs Junior Legal Officer, S\/he will assist the In House Corporate Counsel and External Counsel on all company legal matters. S\/he will also be involved in drafting of International contracts and directly report to the Corporate Counsel in the Global Office. S\/he will also assist the Corporate Counsel to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide analysis and counsel on legal and policy issues such as; contracts management, proposed new products, protecting intellectual property, nondisclosure agreements, labor laws, employment, vendor and partnership contracts, and procurement.<\/li>\n<li>Review, negotiate and draft agreements on behalf of the company.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and recommend operating policy and procedural improvements.<\/li>\n<li>Represent the company in court<\/li>\n<li>Provide support to Company Secretary for Company and Subsidiaries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>LLB, BL with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the legal field<\/li>\n<li>LLM or an international legal postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of International Business Law<\/li>\n<li>Extensive experience in applied Corporate Compliance &amp; Contract Law<\/li>\n<li>Experience in drafting and\/or review of Commercial contracts<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to International IP laws<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of common law principles, legal fundamentals<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and drafting skills is required<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of entity types and experience with corporations, dissolutions, and various corporate transactions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Candidates<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidates with International experience required to bring diversity to the team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITION:<br \/>\nPlease send a cover letter and CV to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hcm@swglobal.com\">hcm@swglobal.com<\/a>.<br \/>\nBe sure to include the position title in the subject line.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contact Details<\/strong><br \/>\nContact Person : Beatrice<br \/>\nTel\t:+233-22301485<br \/>\nFax :+233-22303209<br \/>\nE-mail :hcm@swglobal.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SW Global is one of the first globally competitive technology companies to emerge from West Africa and penetrate the global information technology (IT) market.
