{"id":7009,"date":"2012-02-10T10:30:01","date_gmt":"2012-02-10T10:30:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=7009"},"modified":"2013-12-26T15:51:33","modified_gmt":"2013-12-26T15:51:33","slug":"it-officers-job-vacancies-in-accra-tamale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/it-officers-job-vacancies-in-accra-tamale.html","title":{"rendered":"IT Officers Job Vacancies in Accra &#038; Tamale"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>For over 45 years and in 148 countries, ACDI\/VOCA has empowered people in developing and transitional nations to succeed in the global economy.ACDI\/VOCA is a nonprofit international development organization that delivers technical and management assistance in agribusiness, financial services, enterprise development, community development and food security in order to promote broad-based economic growth and vibrant civil society.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The West Africa Regional Office of ACDI\/VOCA based in Accra Ghana, is seeking two IT\u00a0Officers to be based in Accra and Tamale with frequent travels to other regions.<br \/>\n<\/em><strong><br \/>\nResponsibilities Include:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Assist with start-up and set up of new sub-offices including oversight of installation of LAN lines, enrollment of Internet service provider, set up of the Internet access;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with the Chief Operations Manager in establishing\/implementing ICT standards and guidelines for ACDI\/VOCA Ghana Information Technology (IT) environment in order to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company computing resources;<\/li>\n<li>Provide first level of troubleshooting for system wide Computer and IT problems;<\/li>\n<li>Complete basic checks and system reviews for server and CGnet e-mail and Internet services;<\/li>\n<li>Assist with software problems or failures on individual individual computers;<\/li>\n<li>Provide instructions on advanced software actions (QuickBooks, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Other);<\/li>\n<li>Complete routine maintenance of CIT;<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate cleaning and other network to ensure proper operation of the hardware;<\/li>\n<li>Update Norton Antivirus and MS\u00a0operating systems for recommended schedule;<\/li>\n<li>Add software to individual computers as required;<\/li>\n<li>Carryout service and maintenance of Local\u00a0Network, Servers, Exchange 5.5 Server, Backup Exec 9.1 Server, Microsoft Office 2000 desktop systems; Assess and recommend new technologies for office LAN and Backup;<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the evaluation of Performa for the purchase of software<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced diploma or bachelor&#8217;s degree in computer-related field\/Information Technology from an accredited institution<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3 years equivalent work experience with computer related work including user support\/Help desk in a busy ICT management environment<\/li>\n<li>Strong skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet<\/li>\n<li>Excellent presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent attention to detail and organization; maturity and ability to work in difficult environment;<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to travel regularly within Ghana<\/li>\n<li>Professional and friendly communication style, with the ability to field calls from a diverse group of staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested persons should send their curriculum and cover letter including location and names of three referees to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hr@acdivocaghana.org\">hr@acdivocaghana.org<\/a>\u00a0or hard copies to the below contact:<\/p>\n<div>\n<strong>The Human Resource Manager<br \/>\nACDI\/VOCA<br \/>\nB7\/11 A&amp;C Plaza, East Legon, Accra<br \/>\nP.
