{"id":70954,"date":"2022-08-19T09:59:11","date_gmt":"2022-08-19T09:59:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=70954"},"modified":"2022-08-19T09:59:11","modified_gmt":"2022-08-19T09:59:11","slug":"decagon-jobs-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/decagon-jobs-2022.html","title":{"rendered":"Decagon Jobs 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Decagon is Nigeria\u2019s leading tech talent accelerator connecting the top 0.5% of software Engineers with global companies looking to scale their engineering teams.<\/p>\n<p>Driven by a passion to make Nigeria a Top 10 software Engineering nation within a decade, we recruit and place only the brightest of software engineers.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2018 with a global network of 400+ software Engineers and 120+ partner companies spread across Europe, the USA, and Africa, Decagon is committed to connecting exceptional software Engineers to global companies across our network.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: DevOps Engineer\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Role<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with the architect and developers to evaluate existing problems and arrive at process improvement solutions<\/li>\n<li>Identify bottlenecks in the coding development and implementation process<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the planning of the delivery time, the quality of the code and the improvement of the efficiency of the process<\/li>\n<li>Execute the plan by creating coding standards and automating processes for the organization<\/li>\n<li>Perform daily tasks such as setting up development and production environments, monitoring metrics and reporting incidents<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain knowledge of platform configuration management and troubleshooting<\/li>\n<li>Actively participate in the deployment of application devices in appropriate environments through compatible technologies and infrastructures<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with developers and technical members of the organization to understand their main weaknesses in the coding and development process<\/li>\n<li>Working with the rest of the team to provide a coherent and holistic solution to the organization<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ideal Profile<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3-4 years of excellent coding and scripting skills and experience in implementing large-scale cloud architectures using modern cloud-based container platforms is highly desirable<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in the implementation of automatic infrastructure provisioning solutions is highly desirable (i.e. Puppet, Chef, Ansible)<\/li>\n<li>Linux OS, SQL, PL SQL, Scripting, Container knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Nice to have knowledge of cloud infrastructure and management tools for computing components, storage, networking, caching, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Network knowledge is nice to have<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of agile methodologies<\/li>\n<li>Experience as a DevOps or SRE Engineer in an agile multifunctional team is preferred<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align the organization in decisions<\/li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply<\/li>\n<li>Use team collaboration to efficiently create innovative solutions<\/li>\n<li>Passionate about technology and excited about the impact of emerging\/disruptive technologies<\/li>\n<li>You want to give free rein to the internal self-entrepreneur and work in an environment that encourages entrepreneurial minds<\/li>\n<li>Believes in the culture of transparency and trust<\/li>\n<li>Open to learning new ideas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s on Offer?<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work within a company with a solid track record of success<\/li>\n<li>Join a well known brand within Retail Banking<\/li>\n<li>Excellent career development opportunities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Decagon is Nigeria\u2019s leading tech talent accelerator connecting the top 0.5% of software Engineers with global companies looking to scale their engineering teams.
