It controls 75% market share of total volume<\/p>\n<p>Growth in the Ghana economy is expected to continue at mid to high single digit in a competitive environment.<\/p>\n<p>Consumers and customers in this region expect products of the highest quality. There is also growing middle classes who are likely to experiment with new products. Growth in this region is currently 6% but could reach 10% by F09.<\/p>\n<p>This role is key in the GGBPLC site packaging maintenance team. The Packaging Engineer \u2013Electrical\/Automation Engineer reports to the Packaging Maintenance Engineer and is responsible for the delivery of plant availability and machine efficiency, working with his team of technicians.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Mechanical Engineer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose of Role<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Executes packaging maintenance in respect of Asset care, projects, modifications, overhauls, spare parts and safety to ensure plant and equipment availability.<\/li>\n<li>Executes maintenance activities to ensure plant availability of &gt;95% and aggregate OEE of &gt; 60% in conformance with all engineering and safety standards.<\/li>\n<li>Implements maintenance policies and tactical plans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Top 3-6 Accountabilities<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Achieve 100% conformance to Safety, Statutory and Engineering and Risk Management Standards.<\/li>\n<li>Provide input into packaging maintenance plans<\/li>\n<li>Achieve packaging engineering Key Performance Indicators<\/li>\n<li>Improve asset performance versus targets through the execution of effective planned maintenance activities (e.g. shutdowns, overhauls) and providing technical input into packaging teams in collaboration with the packaging maintenance planner.<\/li>\n<li>Implement best engineering practices and provide input into packaging asset care management.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the execution of packaging overhauls to ensure that these activities are completed on time to specifications and budget.<\/li>\n<li>Optimise product quality, through continuous observation and attention to detail, delivering Right First Time (RFT) on quality and control parameters. Respond to non-conformances in a timely manner to keep process on track. Apply, record &amp; share learning\u2019s to prevent re-occurrence.<\/li>\n<li>Manage materials, components and spares required by their plant and equipment \u2013 includes draw down stock from locally provided \u201cbins\u201d and be accountable for whatever stock is drawn down.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications And Experience Required<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Engineering\/ HND Engineering.<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 3 years experience in maintenance engineering in food or drink manufacturing environment.<\/li>\n<li>A holder of the GhIE or equivalent recognised body will be useful<\/li>\n<li>Proven first line management skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Computer Literate<\/li>\n<li>Resource management Skills<\/li>\n<li>People management &amp; motivational skills<\/li>\n<li>Networking\/influencing \/communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Counselling skills<\/li>\n<li>Research skills<\/li>\n<li>Manage complexity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Barriers to Success in Role<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inability to connect and build positive relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Lack of understanding of the commercial and Demand agenda within the Guinness Ghana Breweries Ltd business.<\/li>\n<li>Lack of the exhibition of key leadership qualities<\/li>\n<li>Lack of the use of right language skills where appropriate.<\/li>\n<li>Inability to manage people for success<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>GGBPLC operates in four drinks categories: Stout, Lager, RTD and Malt categories.
