Job Title: Senior Manager Commercial Legal<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Summary:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Responsible for providing expert legal advisory services as well as identify, minimize and mitigate legal risk within the organization.<\/p>\n

This role is also responsible for managing the company\u2019s contractual arrangements regarding drafting, legality, structuring, and ensure that business practices, policies and activities are in accordance with the laws of Ghana.<\/p>\n

Job Role<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Manage legal risk within the business by taking responsibility for providing legal advice across the business.
\n\u2022 Manage the implementation of legal processes that relate to legal drafting, negotiations, and commercial agreements.
\n\u2022 Oversee the creation of templates and checklists and incorporation of related company policies into contracts.
\n\u2022 Draft and advise on company contracts relating to supplier agreements, employment contracts and authentication of contracts departments.
\n\u2022 Manage in conjunction with external solicitors, all on-going litigation, dispute resolution and settlement matters.
\n\u2022 Identify and remedy complex legal issues within the business
\n\u2022 Lead in creating and maintaining a proactive legal dossier.
\n\u2022 Act in a supporting and advisory capacity to Management and employees in identifying and managing potential legal risk.
\n\u2022 Coordinate legal compliance monitoring and direct risk management efforts related to daily operations in areas including management controls, Ghana law compliance obligations, disclosure issues, reporting requirements and general corporate governance matters.
\n\u2022 Support implementation of internal company policies.
\n\u2022 Support with key input in all efforts towards influencing governmental & regulatory policies affecting the company\u2019s businesses.<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

Education<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2022 A Degree in Law
\n\u2022 Professional Law certificate from the Ghana School of Law is a must
\n\u2022 LLM is an added advantage<\/p>\n

\u2022 Leads and directs a strategic planning team to address and outline the future direction of an organization
\n\u2022 Establishes strategic performance measures to allow the organization to continually assess and adjust program direction
\n\u2022 Explain the strategic direction of the organization to others<\/p>\n

Critical Thinking<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Critically compare different points of view
\n\u2022 Identifies linkage of actions to achieving outcomes
\n\u2022 Applies formal methods and strategies to enhance creative thought
\n\u2022 Effectively analyzes the situation, collects input to make informed decision<\/p>\n

Analytical Thinking<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Identifies the options and solutions for addressing the problems analyzed
\n\u2022 Identifies a number of solutions to the problem by identifying and evaluating the various options developed and selects the most effective solution
\n\u2022 Draws logical and objective conclusions from the given data sets and validates them as the prime cause and contributing causes.<\/p>\n
