\n\u2022 Ensure effective cash flow management to meet the needs of the Hospital
\n\u2022 Achieve monthly financial reporting and quarterly management accounts dates set by Management, and Annual Financial Statement by the end of January each year
\n\u2022 Coordinate and lead in annual audits by liaising with external auditors, satisfying their need for information and explanations to achieve timely completion of annual audits
\n\u2022 Research technical accounting issues (new IFRS standards\/amendments) for compliance in financial reporting
\n\u2022 Lead in the budgetary process and the implementation of approved annual budget (Profit & Loss and Capes) and monitoring monthly variances for timely reporting and corrective action (efficiencies and cost reduction strategies)
\n\u2022 Ensure all statutory payments and statutory returns are paid\/submitted timely to ensure statutory compliance.
\n\u2022 Ensure that adequate supporting documents for each month end reporting to ensure audits expected timeframes when due \u2013 External Audit, Internal Audit and Ghana Revenue Authority Audits are completed within
\n\u2022 Take active steps to maintain and strengthen internal controls and work closely with Heads of Departments Unit Managers to achieve adherence to Hospital\u2019s Internal Controls
\n\u2022 Mentoring and managing the performance of the accounting and finance staff<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting
\n\u2022 A Master\u2019s degree will be an advantage
\n\u2022 Professional Accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CA, or CIMA is required.
\n\u2022 Proficient working knowledge of Excel and accounting software
\n\u2022 Ability to exercise sound judgment
\n\u2022 Integrity and trust
\n\u2022 Accountability and responsibility
\n\u2022 Time management and tenacity<\/p>\n
