Universities in North Carolina founded RTI in 1956 as the first scientific organization in and centerpiece of the Research Triangle Park.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title 1: Chief of Party<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>RTI is recruiting candidates for\u00a0a Basic Education Program in Ghana.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master&#8217;s or higher degree in education or a related field desired<\/li>\n<li>15 years of relevant experience in educational development, drawing in particular from experience in teacher training, literacy and numeracy improvement, education management and governance, community mobilization, ICT in education applications, and\/or learning assessment<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate international and local staff into a cohesive team<\/li>\n<li>Ability to develop to effective working relationships with donors, government counterparts, local organizations, and other program partners<\/li>\n<li>Experience working on large-scale projects (at least $10 million) and with donor project management policies, procedures and reporting requirements, particularly USAID and\/or DFID<\/li>\n<li>Position require fluency in English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>Job Title 2: Deputy Chief of Party<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master&#8217;s or higher degree in a related field desired<\/li>\n<li>12 years of relevant experience in education program implementation, early grade literacy, assessment, research, teacher professional development and\/or school management support programs<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience supporting Ministries of Education to improve their education systems, working in the education or human capacity building sector for education management and service delivery<\/li>\n<li>Experience as a manager of similar programs in other African countries<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience and familiarity with donor project management policies, procedures and reporting requirements, particularly USAID and\/or DFID are a plus<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience working on a large-scale (e.g. $10 million or larger) projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>Job Title 3:\u00a0Senior Reading Specialist<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advanced degree in education, with a focus on curriculum and instruction, early grade reading\/literacy, teacher training, bilingual education, and\/or assessment<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience working in the field of literacy or reading instruction, teacher training, or bilingual education<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work with NGOs and with government agencies in the design and implementation of programs to support literacy<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience working on\u00a0a USAID-funded project is preferred<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Job Title 4:\u00a0Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master&#8217;s Degree in monitoring, assessment or related field<\/li>\n<li>6 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation and research, with a focus on education and experience with USAID<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional technical skills in data management, M&amp;E, survey design, implementation, mapping, and\/or assessment<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other MS\u00a0Office software is required; knowledge of data analysis software desired<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience and familiarity with international development partners&#8217; monitoring and evaluation procedures and reporting requirements, particularly USAID and DFID, are a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>Job Title 5:\u00a0Finance Manager<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field plus 6 years of experience, or a Master&#8217;s degree plus 3 years of experience in Finance or Accounting with CPA<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing USAID funds and knowledge of USAID regulations required<\/li>\n<li>At least 3 years of experience working for a USAID project is desirable<\/li>\n<li>High level of proficiency using Quickbooks and Microsoft Office applications<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience and familiarity with international development partners&#8217; financial procedures and reporting requirements, particularly USAID and DFID, are a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please send your CV and Cover letter to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:ghanaeducation@rti.org\">ghanaeducation@rti.org<\/a><\/strong>.
