The underground mining operation has been fully mechanized and designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t\/day of ore mined.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person to join our dedicated team as<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Description<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Job Title: CIC Technician \u2013 Process Plant<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">The CIC Technician \u2013 Process Plant reports to the CIC Supervisor \u2013 Process Plant and is accountable for all Plant CIC maintenance covering day and night shift in a safe and compliant manner as instructed during refurbishment, later maintenance, of the Process Plant.<\/p>\n<p><b>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work compliantly with the requirement of Government of Ghana Agencies, environmental, health &amp; safety legislation and AGAG regulation<\/li>\n<li>Accept personal responsibility for his\/her own health and safety and that of every mine worker affected by his\/her work<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to site\u2019s Environmental Management Plan<\/li>\n<li>Gather information for the CIC Supervisor \u2013 Process Plant for reporting performance<\/li>\n<li>Conduct periodic audits of all Process Plant CIC refurbishment, later maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Conduct reviews of the refurbishment, later maintenance, of the CIC equipment to identify actions for continuous improvement<\/li>\n<li>Provide input to the CIC Supervisor \u2013 Process Plant to develop condition monitoring routes and checks for correct functioning equipment;<\/li>\n<li>Execute refurbishment, later maintenance, work checks on a routine scheduled basis. This include visual checks, infrared data collection, ultrasonic data collection, motor current and flux data collection, simple NDT data collection, verification of output within calibration and specification;<\/li>\n<li>Analyze and trend predictive maintenance data (vibration, IR, etc.) to determine plant condition and report this condition for action;<\/li>\n<li>Monitor general physical condition of CIC assets and report<\/li>\n<li>Monitor preventive and corrective actions as necessary;<\/li>\n<li>Execute repair work, where appropriate, on instrumentation, communication and control equipment<\/li>\n<li>Generate work requests in SAP as required for refurbishment\/maintenance, repair\u00a0 planning and scheduling<\/li>\n<li>Ensure routine condition monitoring tasks are performed on all the rotating equipment by data collection using advanced portable data collectors and other tools according to the established schedules and also as per the plant requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Gather information on vibration &amp; other data collected in order to diagnose \/ troubleshoot rotating machinery problems.<\/li>\n<li>Actively participate in maintenance review programmes and Root Cause Failure Analysis process of CIC equipment as per requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Identify, communicate, and implement potential cost reduction initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Propose cost savings projects<\/li>\n<li>Execute work in a timely manner; coordinate refurbishment work contractors to time plan, escalate real or potential delays<\/li>\n<li>Monitor equipment performance on asset health system and take proactive measures to address symptoms of potential failure.<\/li>\n<li>Stop equipment operation if there exists a high risk or unsafe to be used<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Qualification<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of EET Part III in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation and Control Systems, HND is an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Experience\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Three (3) Years of Experience preferably Process Plant Mine Infrastructure Maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with the Ghana Minerals and Mining (Health Safety and Technical) Regulation<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the Ghana Electrical Wiring Regulations 2012, L.I. 2008<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Maintenance\/Operating Process Plant Instrumentation and Control Systems and Fixed Plant Assets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited, Obuasi Gold Mine is currently near completion of the redevelopment phase to become a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation.
