The role involves team management responsibilities and requires a strong ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Assistant Corporate Finance Manager\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports to <\/strong>Senior Corporate Finance Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>What You Will Be Accountable For<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>i. Operations\/ Professional\/ Business<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain accurate and complete records of financial performance of the business units and provide insightful analysis to support decision making.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure various elements of working capital (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash &amp; Stock) are proactively and effectively managed to support optimum business operations.<\/li>\n<li>Drive the compilation of the IFRS &amp; Companies\u2019 Act compliant annual statutory financial statements for external audit and manage the audit process to successful completion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>ii. Leadership<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proactive &amp; robust engagement with Internal stakeholders, including cross-functional and cross-market colleagues to ensure internal process consistency and a robust control environment.<\/li>\n<li>Proactive &amp; Robust engagement with External stakeholders; including Tax Authorities, External Audit, Distributors &amp; Suppliers to maintain compliance track record and ensure alignment to business objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Manage team members (2 X Finance Analysts) and provide direction on priority activities whilst maintaining a healthy team dynamic and ensuring their development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>iii. Innovation<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full optimization of SAP and Excel capabilities to improve productivity and efficiency of tasks within the team.<\/li>\n<li>Review and benchmark processes and proactively provide initiatives to enhance performance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Experience, Skills And Knowledge<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Post Graduate University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, with a preference for CIMA\/ACCA\/CA qualification.<\/li>\n<li>3 \u2013 5 years Finance\/Accounting experience, preferably in a multinational Finance environment, and 1-2 years Management experience<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of local Tax regulations<\/li>\n<li>Effective negotiation, communication, and presentation skills to interact with people at all levels in the organization (and externally)<\/li>\n<li>Ability to self-direct and be proactive<\/li>\n<li>Manage teams and drive a healthy work culture.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of SAP ERP and the BPC reporting tool.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WE ARE BAT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At BAT we are committed to our Purpose of creating A Better Tomorrow.
