{"id":760,"date":"2010-09-06T02:44:50","date_gmt":"2010-09-06T02:44:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=760"},"modified":"2016-11-14T10:02:26","modified_gmt":"2016-11-14T10:02:26","slug":"action-aid-jobs-in-ghana-senior-it-officer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/action-aid-jobs-in-ghana-senior-it-officer.html","title":{"rendered":"Action Aid Jobs in Ghana: Senior IT Officer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Action Aid<\/strong> is an international anti-poverty agency working in over 40 countries, taking sides with poor people to end poverty and injustice together<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:<\/strong><br \/>\nReporting to the Head of Programmes, the role is responsible for all IT infrastructure, communication and services to be provided to ActionAid Ghana (AAG)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe Senior IT Officer&#8217;s duties<\/p>\n<p>The ongoing development of long-term IT strategies for AAG<br \/>\nTechnical and operational advice to regional IT support staff<br \/>\nIdentification and prioritization of IT needs in each financial year<br \/>\nSpecification, ordering and installation of equipment and software<br \/>\nMaintenance and repairs to systems at all levels<br \/>\nMaintenance of network infrastructure and architecture<br \/>\nMaintenance of network infrastructure and architecture<br \/>\nMaintenance of network software systems<br \/>\nControl over software licensing<br \/>\nData and network security<br \/>\nControl overand maintenance of user accounts<br \/>\nSupport of AAG facilities for seminars and conferences<br \/>\nMaintenance of 24-hour email and internet access<br \/>\nMaintaining the quality and relevance of information<br \/>\nCircumstances:<br \/>\nThe role involves very frequent travel within Ghana and outside Ghana<br \/>\nRequired Skills or Experience<\/p>\n<p>The requirements for the role of Senior IT Officer, as currently constituted are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge of Windows 2003\/2008, Windows 7 and Vista networks, active directory, DNS, TCP\/TP<br \/>\nESXi Servers management<br \/>\nKnowledge of V-SAT and wireless management<br \/>\nKnowledge of Microsoft Application software<br \/>\nIn depth technical knowledge of PC hardware<br \/>\nCompetencies:<br \/>\nKnowledge<br \/>\nBSc. Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification with at least 2 years post-qualification working experience in a large IT-based organisation<br \/>\nBehavioural:<br \/>\nLeadership, planning, self organisation, initiative, integrity, judgement, results orientation, problem analysis, oral communication, written communication, team-working, self development, listening, learning, gender awareness and sensitivity<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To Apply: Applicant should collect Application Forms from ActionAid Ghana offices in Accra, Tamale, Sunyani, Zebilla, Kadjebi, Tumu.
