Based in Washington, DC., ACDI\/VOCA is a nonprofit international development organization that delivers technical and management assistance in agribusiness, financial services, enterprise development, community development and food security in order to promote broad-based economic growth and vibrant civil society. ACDI\/VOCA currently has approximately 90 projects in 40 countries and revenues o f $140 million.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Will serve as the principal technical advisor for activities and interventions to meet nutrition and public health component objectives<\/li>\n<li>Participate in needs assessments at the community level<\/li>\n<li>Analyze available resources to meet the needs of vulnerable households, and design approaches to meet community nutrition and public health needs<\/li>\n<li>Propose innovative approaches and integrate nutrition and public health activities with comprehensive program objectives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Position are subject to ACDI\/VOCA being awarded the program<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master&#8217;s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of five years of professional experience in implementing and managing nutrition, hygiene and public health development programs at the community and household level targeting towards the vulnerable populations<\/li>\n<li>Technical expertise in nutrition and public health<\/li>\n<li>Experience in capacity building and transfer of skills<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated familiarity with and commitment to addressing gender equality in nutrition and public health<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and spoken\u00a0English skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To be\u00a0considered for this recruitment, please submit a resume to:\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:ghanaring@joinav.org\">ghanaring@joinav.org<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0with the title of desired position in the subject line.<\/p>\n<div><em>No phone calls please.
