The underground mining operation has been fully mechanized and designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t\/day of ore mined.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person to join our dedicated team as<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Description<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Job Title: Electrical Supervisor \u2013 Underground<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><b>ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Electrical Supervisor \u2013 Underground reports to the E&amp;I Superintendent and is accountable for the monitoring and control of the output of Underground Electrical refurbishment of electrical equipment and new Electrical infrastructure installations in the underground space at KMS to standard, the transition to operations as well as operations and maintenance of underground electrical infrastructure, through the application of operational policies, standards, processes and procedures to maximize plant availability in a sustainable cost-effective manner and minimize operational risks in order to meet the business\u2019 strategic objective.<\/p>\n<p><b>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work according to total quality management principles &amp; ensure zero defect objectives &amp; safety<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to site\u2019s Environmental Management Plan<\/li>\n<li>Support the Electrical refurbishment and New Construction of Underground material handling, dewatering and fixed plants in the project and transition into operations. Execute refurbishment, later maintenance on a routine scheduled basis for the underground areas<\/li>\n<li>Lead a team of Electrical Technicians to carry out maintenance of the Electrical aspects of the Underground Fixed and Mobile Plant Infrastructure. This involves all the replacement &amp; repair of Medium Voltage extensions, updating drawings (Red line), disconnect\/reconnection of electrical equipment, maintaining the integrity of all electrical equipment<\/li>\n<li>Conduct reviews of the electrical infrastructure in underground to identify actions for continuous improvement<\/li>\n<li>Assist the E&amp;I Superintendent \u2013 UG to develop condition monitoring routes and checks for Underground Electrical Fixed and Mobile Plant Infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>Execute work checks on a routine scheduled basis. This includes visual checks, installation and operational checks<\/li>\n<li>Assist with shutdown co-ordination and execution on the Electrical UG infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>Generate work requests in SAP as required for new build\/maintenance planning and scheduling<\/li>\n<li>Gather information on operating equipment and collect data to diagnose\/troubleshoot operating machinery problems<\/li>\n<li>Actively participate in maintenance review programmes and root cause failure analysis process of Electrical equipment as per requirement<\/li>\n<li>Stop equipment from working if there exists a high risk or is unsafe to be used<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Qualification<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of Diploma\/Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Electrical\/Electronic Engineering or equivalent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Experience\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An experienced Electrical maintenance Supervisor with 5+ years\u2019 experience in underground electrical maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Project Management<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in Ghana Minerals and Mining (Health Safety and Technical) Regulation<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of SAP PM module<\/li>\n<li>Strong Electrical maintenance competencies in mining environment<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in troubleshooting faults in electrical systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Technical Competencies<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong Electrical maintenance competencies in mining\u00a0 environment<\/li>\n<li>Sound project management skills<\/li>\n<li>Should have analytical skills to be able to evaluate information and solve complex problems.<\/li>\n<li>Detail oriented to understand complex systems, and recognition that a minor error can cause major problems.<\/li>\n<li>Commercially astute and able to work effectively with third parties.<\/li>\n<li>Legally astute with respect to project delivery and maintenance systems<\/li>\n<li>Excellent skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Project and Excel<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to communicate about technical issues both orally and in writing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Leadership Competencies<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build and sustain a team of subordinates capable of producing those outputs;<\/li>\n<li>Continuously improve the processes used by the team in delivering outputs;<\/li>\n<li>Model work behaviors for your subordinates,<\/li>\n<li>Consistent with the company values<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to initiate and drive the construction project through its life cycle.<\/li>\n<li>To support and motivate the construction project team to deliver the project goals.<\/li>\n<li>Finding innovative solutions through creative thinking and problem solving.<\/li>\n<li>Create an environment of teamwork and willingness to help coworkers<\/li>\n<li>Able to work different kinds of people<\/li>\n<li>Organizational skills to keep track of many workers, schedules, and budgets all at once.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited, Obuasi Gold Mine is currently near completion of the redevelopment phase to become a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation.
