Role Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n

The role holder will provide high level strategic advice and support to the CEO with a focus on priority issues and activities for the organisation and sector.<\/p>\n

This includes governance and administrative activities related to the CEO\u2019s role as the strategic director of the organisation. The position will also ensure the efficient management of the CEO\u2019s office and assist in the rollout and implementation of key project, including oversight, planning and support for CEO\u2019s engagement with external stakeholders.<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

Experience<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2022 At least 10 years relevant experience, in policy development or operational management, of which at least 5 must have been at a managerial level<\/p>\n

Professional Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 A Master\u2019s degree in business administration, public administration or equivalent qualification<\/p>\n

Key Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

Governance<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Support in the development and implementation of policies, manuals and regulations which requires the CEO\u2019s attention.
\n\u2022 Monitor policy and political discourse and developments on current issues relating to the work of the organisation.
\n\u2022 Monitor and evaluate implementation of internal and external projects.<\/p>\n

Project Management<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Develop, monitor and review plans for projects that the CEO is responsible for.
\n\u2022 Manages internal and external special projects in coordination with other departments and\/or organisation and play a key role in internal communications and reporting for CEO projects.
\n\u2022 collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, on behalf of the CEO, to identify risks and gaps in theorganisations rollout and implementation of key projects.<\/p>\n

Continuous Improvement<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Draft and support the implementation of procedures for areas of the organisation that the CEO holds Process Owner responsibility.
\n\u2022 Undertake tasks that support the ongoing implementation of Governance policies and procedures. This
\n\u2022 would include collaborating with the Strategic, innovation, risks, legal and operations groups of the organisation.<\/p>\n

Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Share collective responsibility for delivering organisational objectives, through active engagement and collaboration with employees at all levels in the organisation<\/p>\n

Executive Support<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Draft and edits various documents including internal\/external correspondence. supervise the create and maintain files, reviews drafts and finished documents for accuracy, including documents of a sensitive or confidential nature.
\n\u2022 Support the CEO to manage information exchange and ensure effective communication occurs across key stakeholder groups.
\n\u2022 Ensure the urgent enquiries and emerging issues are brought to the CEO\u2019s attention.
\n\u2022 Assist in the preparation of agendas and capturing of minutes for Board and Management meetings.
\n\u2022 In the CEO\u2019s absence, ensure all requests for action or information, which would normally receive the CEO\u2019s attention are made known to responsible managers or personnel who can satisfy the request, and monitors resulting activity to provide briefing the CEO.<\/p>\n

Other Organisational Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Adhere to all organisational policies, procedures, standards and practices.
\n\u2022 Act only in ways that advances the organisation\u2019s objectives, values and reputation.
\n\u2022 Other duties, consistent with skills and experience, as directed by the CEO.<\/p>\n
