{"id":77009,"date":"2022-11-22T11:52:26","date_gmt":"2022-11-22T11:52:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=77009"},"modified":"2022-11-22T11:52:26","modified_gmt":"2022-11-22T11:52:26","slug":"transforming-teaching-education-learning-t-tel-recruitment-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/transforming-teaching-education-learning-t-tel-recruitment-2022.html","title":{"rendered":"Transforming Teaching Education &#038; Learning (T-TEL) Recruitment 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Internal Auditor\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>REPORTING AND MANAGEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Reports to Chief Internal Auditor<br \/>\n\u2022 No line management responsibility<\/p>\n<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The Internal Auditor works under the direction of the Chief Internal Auditor to provide independent and objective assurance and advisory services to facilitate organizational accountability, enhance risk management, governance, control processes and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of T-TEL\u2019s operational and programmatic performance.<br \/>\n\u2022 She\/He will audit T-TEL\u2019s grants and other downstream partners to ensure that there is adherence to grant agreements and funds administered are being used for the intended purposes.<br \/>\n\u2022 The Internal Auditor will also contribute to the establishment of systems and standards for conducting audits and will generally conduct audits independently or participate as a team member for major or complex audits.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ROLE DESCRIPTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Internal Auditor will specifically:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Review T-TEL\u2019s operating documents including the Financial Management Manual and Human Resources Policies and Procedures Manual to ensure that they adhere to best practice and ensure that there are no institutional control weaknesses.<br \/>\n\u2022 Plan and perform audits to review supporting documents to ensure T-TEL\u2019s operations across the head office conform with the procedures and processes set out in the organization\u2019s Financial Management Manual and Human Resources Policies and Procedures Manual.<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct due diligence assessments on T-TEL\u2019s grant partners by reviewing their operational and financial systems, administration records, accountability procedures, staffing, planning, budgets, specific key result indicators, legal compliance, and general management practices. Conducts audits in a facilitative manner, emphasizing opportunities for training and development of ministry partner workers.<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct field audits on T-TEL\u2019s grant partners through inspecting programs against documented standards and sound control practices, including reviewing risk assessment systems. Conduct audits on a full range of standards and best practices such as management, operational, staffing, legal, planning, procedural, and financial compliance. Conducts audits using a consultative, partnership approach, helping the partner to uncover issues and implement corrective action.<br \/>\n\u2022 Identify any control weaknesses through analysis of documentation and prepare and present reports that reflect audit findings and contain recommendations for action by the Finance &amp; Audit Committee.<br \/>\n\u2022 Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings<br \/>\n\u2022 Conduct follow up audits to monitor management\u2019s interventions<br \/>\n\u2022 Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sector\u2019s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques and performance standards<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification Required &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Proven working experience as Internal Auditor<br \/>\n\u2022 Part-Qualified Accountant or Finance Manager with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.<br \/>\n\u2022 Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules regulations<br \/>\n\u2022 Proven ability to conduct internal audit engagements covering the planning, fieldwork, and reporting phases.<br \/>\n\u2022 High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Advanced Excel skills<br \/>\n\u2022 Demonstrated knowledge of internal auditing standards and practices, risk management, and internal controls.<br \/>\n\u2022 Understanding of the concepts of due diligence, value for money and ethics and transparency.<br \/>\n\u2022 Excellent written and spoken English.<br \/>\n\u2022 Independent with the ability to use own initiative and display sound judgement.<br \/>\n\u2022 A good communicator with strong relationship building skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 Demonstrable ability to deliver to deadlines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Accra<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications are to be submitted electronically to:<br \/>\n<strong>recruitment@T-TEL.org<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants should clearly state the title of the job they are applying for in the subject line of their email and application letter.
