The role holder will also be responsible for the organisation\u2019s Projects Appraisals and development pipeline and for conducting the initial assessment to ensure applications are well completed, and all required documentation is availed<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Lead the review and appraisal of projects at concepts, Pre feasibility and full feasibility study stages of new projects at the organisation<br \/>\n\u2022 Assist investors on the project development processes and ensure that the required information and documentation is prepared in accordance with the set guidelines<br \/>\n\u2022 Support delivery of business strategies through projects by engaging with strategy and portfolio management teams<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate with relevant departments to evaluate serious investment proposals prior to licensing and obtain any additional requirements before project is appraised<br \/>\n\u2022 Respond to investor and management enquiries about project appraisals and advice potential investors on organisation\u2019s policies, procedures and guidelines for licensing and prepare initial approval recommendations<br \/>\n\u2022 Generate practice notes on emerging issues in the practice of project appraisals and development for development of policy and strategy at the organisation<br \/>\n\u2022 Provide reports and analysis on pending development applications from investors highlighting any emerging issues for management\u2019s attention<br \/>\n\u2022 Liaise with all relevant agencies and internal departments on issues of investor applications, including but not limited to site inspections, due diligence and research support<br \/>\n\u2022 Monitor the progress of investor applications and licences within the organisation\u2019s approval and issuing systems and continue liaison with the investor until the relevant decisions have been conveyed<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure expeditious facilitation of the implementation of new investments<br \/>\n\u2022 Advise and propose strategies to enhance the effective appraisal and development of projects in the organisation<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skills &amp; Competency Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Demonstrated technical knowledge and practical experience in project development, screening, appraisal review<br \/>\n\u2022 Proven experience in project appraisal and preparation for development projects<br \/>\n\u2022 Experience in providing technical assistance and capacity building in project development and appraisal<br \/>\n\u2022 Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills, as well as proven ability to communicate orally and in writing effectively and credibly<br \/>\n\u2022 Direct experience of project selection, appraisal, assessment, monitoring and evaluation methodologies<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification Required &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Minimum of a Master\u2019s degree in Project Planning and Design, Project Appraisal, Project Management, Economics, Development Finance or related field<\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A minimum of nine (9) years working experience in appraisal, evaluation and management of projects;
