The underground mining operation has been fully mechanized and designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t\/day of ore mined.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person to join our dedicated team as<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Description<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Job Title: Mechanical Engineer \u2013 Surface Infrastructure<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Mechanical Engineer \u2013 Surface Infrastructure, is accountable for safely delivering the design, build, execution, and commissioning of surface mechanical infrastructure on budget and on schedule.<\/p>\n<p><b>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adhere to HSE regulations with zero tolerance for breaches.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate behavior consistent with AGAG\u2019s vision and values.<\/li>\n<li>Lead by example at all times to create a safe working environment, where risks are assessed and managed to ensure tasks are performed without the risk of injury or harm to themselves, others, and the environment.<\/li>\n<li>Establish the Mechanical Engineering team for the Surface operations, capable of supporting the role holder in executing the project construction deliverables.<\/li>\n<li>Review and confirm the accuracy of the Bill of Materials.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and coordinate work packs with and for work crews.<\/li>\n<li>Define equipment and parts from external suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct cost estimation.<\/li>\n<li>Safely deliver Project Mechanical implementation, including installation and commissioning.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee project workflow and support internal and external resources to ensure the safe and timely delivery of project works expected quality and allotted budget.<\/li>\n<li>Support manufacture, build, and validation of systems.<\/li>\n<li>Resolve operational problems related to projects and minimize delays or unexpected cost increases.<\/li>\n<li>Generate engineering reports, specifications, procedures, and engineered solutions in a timely and accurate manner.<\/li>\n<li>Create required documentation, drawings, process definition, procedures, and manuals as required.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare progress reports and procurement updates for inclusion in weekly\/monthly reports.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor progress, attend site meetings, and represent AGA as required.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain accurate records and files according to a quality standard.<\/li>\n<li>Develop a commissioning plan for review and sign-off.<\/li>\n<li>Execute the Commissioning plan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Qualification<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have 10 \u2013 15 plus years post-graduation on mechanical design and the implementation and execution of major processing plant and support services projects.<\/li>\n<li>Must have managed and directed project construction activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited, Obuasi Gold Mine is currently near completion of the redevelopment phase to become a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation.
