He or she is responsible for organising and conducting the academic, financial and administrative business of the college in accordance with the statutes and decisions of council and academic board<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification Required &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The applicant must:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Have an Advanced Research Degree (PhD is an added advantage)<br \/>\n\u2022 Be a professional teacher or must possess a minimum of a Diploma in Education or education related area<br \/>\n\u2022 Be at least a Senior Lecturer or a Principal Tutor in a college of Education or a comparable grade in a similar institution\/organisation<br \/>\n\u2022 Have good character and high degree of personal integrity and must be a distinguished master teacher and scholar in teaching and learning<br \/>\n\u2022 Have rich administrative experience<br \/>\n\u2022 Be able to complete at least one term of 4 years before attaining the compulsory retirement age<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applicants must also show evidence of the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Demonstrate capacity to manage a college of Education<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to foster and promote good internal and external relations of college<br \/>\n\u2022 Ability to project effectively the image of the College internally and externally<br \/>\n\u2022 Proven capacity to provide strong, visionary leadership and innovation<br \/>\n\u2022 Must not be more than 55 years at the time of application.
