{"id":8088,"date":"2012-06-08T08:20:11","date_gmt":"2012-06-08T08:20:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=8088"},"modified":"2016-11-14T16:05:27","modified_gmt":"2016-11-14T16:05:27","slug":"barclays-bank-ghana-recruiting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/barclays-bank-ghana-recruiting.html","title":{"rendered":"Barclays Bank Ghana Recruiting [Republished]"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>Barclays Bank Ghana<\/strong> is seeking to recruit an experienced professional with the determination to deliver a first class in our Procurement Team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Head of Procurement<\/strong><em><br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>The Role:<br \/>\n<\/strong>To provide the Bank with the most effective price, performance and value propositions across the party expenditure in support of our business objectives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Accountabilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understand the supply market and develop appropriate procurement and approaches, strategies and supply management capabilities that deliver recognisable and measurable business value<\/li>\n<li>Integrate purchasing as a core competence into business areas<\/li>\n<li>Develop appropriate purchasing processes, tools and systems that support the achievement of business needs and help ensure that business value from third party expenditure is achieved<\/li>\n<li>Develop and grow purchasing capability to meet current and future business needs<\/li>\n<li>Authorize issuance of LPOs\/ commitments of over GHs 1 million<\/li>\n<li>Undertake forecasts\/plans for annual expenditure to facilitate cost savings<\/li>\n<li>Develop mechanisms\/solutions to reduce costs and increase efficiency in the procurement processes<\/li>\n<li>Develop and manage strategic long-term relationships with major suppliers to maintain quality service to the bank<\/li>\n<li>Monitor achievement of SLAs by suppliers and also ensure that SLAs with internal customers are met<\/li>\n<li>Acts as an escalation point for complex enquiries emanating from suppliers and internal customers<\/li>\n<li>Undertake negotiations with suppliers and service providers for goods and services for transactions of over 3 million<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A detailed understanding of the planning and budgeting processes and methodology<\/li>\n<li>A detailed understanding of legislation covering procurement management<\/li>\n<li>Detailed understanding of the principles and concepts of procurement management<\/li>\n<li>Detailed knowledge of computerised procurement systems<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 8 years experience in procurement<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 4 years experience in managing a team of procurement professional<\/li>\n<li>Worked within a large corporate environment (multinational)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Qualification:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Professional qualification at degree\/diploma level i.e. Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply UK<\/li>\n<li>Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Suppliers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To apply, please visit Barclays Careers website at:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.barclaysafricajobs.com\/\">www.barclaysafricajobs.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Closing date for submission of application is one week after first publication.
