Inspired by the work of Newcastle University&#8217;s Professor James Tooley, Omega is bringing to low-income families the benefits of innovative learning methods, teacher training and mentoring. Currently with four schools, we will expand to ten schools by the end of the year, thereafter going to scale.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Director of Teaching and Learning will develop the educational model to transform educational opportunities for children in low income communities.<br \/>\nReporting directly to the Company&#8217;s CEO, the Director of Teaching and Learning will:<br \/>\nDevelop, trail and evaluate curriculum, assessment, materials and lesson plans<br \/>\nDevelop, trail and evaluate teacher training, mentoring and quality control materials<br \/>\nLead the teacher training, mentoring and quality monitoring effort<br \/>\nDevelop, trail and evaluate technological methods to enhance children&#8217;s learning<br \/>\nCollect, analyse and act upon data on children&#8217;s understanding and motivation, using the data to focus on children, teachers and schools within the chain that need attention<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The person must be a passionate, committed, energetic educationalist with at least five year&#8217;s experience in teacher training, curriculum development, assessment and\/or educational research<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For further specification and job description, email: <strong>kendonkoh@gmail.com<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To apply, send a CV and letter of application to<strong> james.tooley@ncl.ac.uk<\/strong> and <strong>kendonkoh@gmail.com <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Informal enquiries can be made to the CEO on 026 4021957.
