The provide overall leadership, strategic direction and supervision of the operations of the Organisation.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities\/Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Advise the Board on operational policies, administration and management of the Agency<\/li>\n
  2. Implement policies, decisions and programmes of the Board<\/li>\n
  3. Establish and implement approved financial, administrative, technical, production, marketing, editorial, internal audit system and procedures and organizational structures for the achievement of the mandate of the agency<\/li>\n
  4. Develop and promote a culture of good governance, co-operation, commitment, efficacy, accountability and productivity within the Agency<\/li>\n
  5. Present a draft annual budget estimates of the Corporation to the Board three (3) months before the end of the financial year or as directed by the Board<\/li>\n
  6. Present to the Board annual work plan based on the approved budget not later than one (1) month after the beginning of the financial year<\/li>\n
  7. Ensure that Audit report is presented to the Board within three (3) months after the end of the financial year<\/li>\n
  8. Prepare and submit quarterly reports on the operations and activities of the Agency to the Board, not later than two (2) months after the end of the calendar year<\/li>\n
  9. Develop and maintain philosophy of management and corporate culture that foster co-operation<\/li>\n
  10. Any other relevant duties\/responsibilities that may be assigned by the Board<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n

    Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • A minimum of Master’s Degree in Sciences or Arts, preferably, Mass\u00a0Communications, Journalism, Business\/Public Administration, Engineering, Economics,\u00a0Management or its equivalent professional qualification from a recognized institution, with not less than fifteen (15) years’ post qualification relevant work experience, five (5) years of which must be\u00a0in a senior management position in a reputable institution<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Competencies and Skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • Strong managerial and organizational skills<\/li>\n
      • Demonstrable knowledge of public Broadcasting<\/li>\n
      • Demonstration of creativity and good business acumen<\/li>\n
      • Excellent leadership and decision making skills<\/li>\n
      • Excellent administrative and supervisory skills<\/li>\n
      • Good team player<\/li>\n
      • Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills<\/li>\n
      • Proficiency in computer and software application<\/li>\n
      • Conversant with the Financial Administration Act, the Public Procurement Act, the Internal Audit Agency Act, the National\u00a0Media Commission Act<\/li>\n
      • Excellent marketing orientation and good knowledge of Media Networks, particularly the electronic media<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n
