position(s) mentioned below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Position: Environmental Monitoring Officer \u2013 BTSF<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Grade: Stratum I \u2013 Mid<\/p>\n<p>Contract Type\/Duration: Fixed Term Contract \u2013 2yrs<\/p>\n<p>Department: HSE<\/p>\n<p>Number of Position(s): One (1)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b><strong>To ensure close monitoring of construction activities and compliance with regulatory permit conditions of the Beposo TSF in accordance with AGA policies and procedures.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><strong>Role Accountabilities<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor Regulatory permit conditions at the Beposo Tailing Storage Facility.<\/li>\n<li>Provide environmental advice to the Beposo TSF Project team.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out rehabilitation and grassing of tailings dam slopes and other disturbed areas.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out environmental awareness campaigns for the Project Team and contractors on site.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out daily inspection of Ablution facilities and the construction site.<\/li>\n<li>Implement fauna prevention techniques to limit access to supernatant water.<\/li>\n<li>Implement meadow creation for wildlife use.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor piezo holes around the TSFs.<\/li>\n<li>Investigate any environmental incident around the Beposo TSF.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out Wildlife Mortality Survey.<\/li>\n<li>Collect daily and monthly water samples in the seepage collection sumps for laboratory analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure dust suppression on haul and access roads during the construction phase of the project.<\/li>\n<li>Implementation of operational controls<\/li>\n<li>Pre-arrange operational control permits before clearing vegetation.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out induction for new employees and contractors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Person Specifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BSc Chemistry, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or its equivalent from a recognized institution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of two (2) years of working experience in a related field within the mining industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint<\/li>\n<li>Ability to follow instructions through a standard work process, perform routine tasks, and check work for accuracy before completion of tasks<\/li>\n<li>Analytical and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively with people, including a high-performing professional team<\/li>\n<li>Possess a valid driver\u2019s license and proficiency in driving a
