Universities in North Carolina founded RTI in 1956 as the first scientific organization in and centerpiece of the Research Triangle Park.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>RTI IS RECRUITING CANDIDATES FOR AN EARLY GRADE LEARNING PROGRAMME IN GHANA<br \/>\n<\/em><strong><br \/>\nTeacher Training Specialist\u00a0<\/strong>will be responsible for coordinating all training activities for an early grade learning project, focusing on improving district level delivery of in-service training and on-going professional development in the area of early grade reading.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>She\/he will work collaboratively with government education agencies to coordinate the development and implementation of teacher training, working in close collaboration with project language and literacy experts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master&#8217;s\u00a0degree in education (with a focus on reading or bilingual education preferred), with a minimum of 6 years experience developing and coordinating teacher training activities and inputs<\/li>\n<li>In-depth knowledge of Ghana&#8217;s education system, with a proven ability as a facilitator\/trainer and manager<\/li>\n<li>All positions require fluency in English; prior experience working on a USAID project is preferred<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please send your CV and Cover letter to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:ghanaeducation@rti.org\">ghanaeducation@rti.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Please indicate which position you are applying for in the subject line.<\/p>\n<p>Offer valid till:\u00a009 Jul, 2012<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RTI (www.rti.com)\u00a0is an independent organization dedicated to conducting innovative, multidisciplinary research that improves the human condition.
