\nOn Site IBM System p Administrator would provide 2nd and 3rd Level support for the customer p series servers. \n\u2022\uf020The FTE will be part of the Support team that install, configure and manages, monitors systems for a 24\/7 Infrastructure.
\n\u2022\uf020The FTE is responsible for the maintenance of complex operating system’s software and related program products.
\n\u2022\uf020He will perform hardware break\/fix activities
\n\u2022\uf020Monitor and Manage System Performance and get involved in Hardware upgrades as required.
\n\u2022\uf020Provide hands-on hardware administration for servers, printer\u2019s network switches hands on software.
\n\u2022\uf020Suggesting and providing IT solutions to business management problems;
\n\u2022\uf020Ensuring that all IT equipment complies with industry standards;
\n\u2022\uf020Undertaking routine preventative measures
\n\u2022\uf020Providing training and technical support for users with varying levels of IT knowledge and competence;<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\uf020Preferably have comprehensive knowledge of IBM hardware product (pSeries servers and pSeries software products);
\n\u2022\uf020At least 5 years working experience on System p Server, with strong AIX,<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\uf020Experience on Hardware Support and Maintenance.
\n\u2022\uf020Well versed in IBM PowerVM, HACMP, AIX;
\n\u2022\uf020Certification of hardware and software in IBM will be a plus.
\n\u2022\uf020Experience with installation, configuration and troubleshooting on IBM System<\/p>\n
\n\u2022\uf020Good knowledge of ITIL;
\n\u2022\uf020Knowledge of DB2 Server Products
\n\u2022\uf020Solid Knowledge of TCP\/IP Networks
\n\u2022\uf020Extensive Knowledge of server security best practices and security models
\n\u2022\uf020BSc Degree<\/p>\n
