Description
\nOn Site IBM System x Administrator (Windows & Vmware) would provide 2nd and 3rd
\nLevel support for the customer x Series Servers. Generally, the tasks include break fix\/solving problems on client platform and hardware applications like Hardware
\nComponents, Operating System, Hardware nodes supporting Applications residing on the Server Infrastructure etc.
\nThe responsibilities include:
\n\u2022\uf020The FTE will be part of the Support team that install, configure and manages, monitors systems for a 24\/7 infrastructure.
\n\u2022\uf020Provide Microsoft Windows Server systems administration;
\n\u2022\uf020Provide VMware Vsphere platform administration;
\n\u2022\uf020Day to day infrastructure Support;
\n\u2022\uf020System maintenance and upgrades;
\n\u2022\uf020Documentation Maintenance;
\n\u2022\uf020Provide continuous service improvement;<\/p>\n

\n\u2022\uf020at least 7 years\u2019 experience in Microsoft Windows 2000\/2003\/2008 and Active
\nDirectory administration;
\n\u2022\uf020at least 5 year experience in VMware Vsphere platform administration
\n\u2022\uf020practical knowledge about consolidation, availability (HA, FT) and resources management (DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion) concepts in virtualized environments;
\n\u2022\uf020networking knowledge (TCP\/IP, WINS, DNS, DHCP);
\n\u2022\uf020Knowledge of DB2 Server Products
\n\u2022\uf020Solid Knowledge of TCP\/IP Networks
\n\u2022\uf020Extensive Knowledge of security best practices and security models
\n\u2022\uf020Extensive experience with Windows File Sharing environments, quota assignments and permissions.
\n\u2022\uf020Practical knowledge about x86 servers hardware and storage;
\n\u2022\uf020Cluster services maintenance;
\n\u2022\uf020Performance monitoring & analysis;
\n\u2022\uf020Problem determination & analysis;
\n\u2022\uf020Team working balanced with ability to work alone;<\/p>\n
