\n\u2022 Conducts interviews, investigates, and makes follow-ups on events to produce truthful, fair, and accurate news reports.
\n\u2022 Covers assignments and writes stories and feature articles in a clear and concise form for publication.
\n\u2022 Ensures subscribers receive timely, relevant, high-quality content and stories in the public interest.
\n\u2022 Does live reports from scene and undertakes specialized field and project assignments.
\n\u2022 Research the background of stories and produce comprehensive and accurate information for news features, documentaries and special reports.
\n\u2022 Establishes and maintains relationships with individuals who are credible sources of information to keep the flow of news in the national interest.
\n\u2022 Investigates breaking news, such as disasters, crimes, or human-interest stories.
\n\u2022 Edits news stories, checks facts and legal breaches, names, and titles of newsmakers to ascertain authenticity to ensure high quality news reports and feature articles that conform to GNA\u2019s house style, vision, and mission.
\n\u2022 Rewrites stories by reporters when necessary to meet editorial and professional standards.
\n\u2022 Plans daily assignments for reporters.
\n\u2022 Briefs reporters before sending them out on assignments.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Demonstrate ability to generate and develop story ideas.
\n\u2022 Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and must understand at least one Ghanaian Language.
\n\u2022 Good understanding of current affairs and capacity to engage in analysis of political, economic and social issues.
\n\u2022 Must have social media presence.
\n\u2022 Should be able to undertake standup interviews.
\n\u2022 Demonstrate ability to edit scripts and news stories.
\n\u2022 Experience in audio and\/video or documentary production
