The Government of the Republic of Ghana (GOG) is in the final stages of securing a loan and a grant from the African Development Bank (AfDB) amounting to UA 70 million. The Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET) is the executing agency for the project.<\/p>\n

The loan is meant to finance the Development of Skills for Industry Project (DSIP). The project is expected to establish a high quality, equitable, market-responsive and cost-effective technical and vocational education and training (TVET) system in order to increase the number of immediately employable Ghanaian graduates; restructure the skills development sector to ensure increasing access, reduce the skills gap; modernize equipment; train teachers and generally improve the quality and relevance of TVET offerings.<\/p>\n

COTVET now intends to apply part of the proceeds of this facility to eligible payments under the contract for the engagement of suitably qualified individuals for the following position to be based at the Project Support Unit of the Council for Technical and Vocational Educational and Training (COTVET) in Accra;<\/p>\n
