The underground mining operation has been fully mechanized and designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t\/day of ore mined.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person to join our dedicated team as a<\/p>\n<p><b>Job Description<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Job Title: Expediting Officer.<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">The Role holder will ensure that the expediting function is carried out to support and achieve the operational and strategic objectives of the Obuasi Redevelopment Project \u2013 Phase 3.<\/p>\n<p><b>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assess risks for all tasks and ensure they are controlled before and during task execution.<\/li>\n<li>Report all incidents and ensure they have been investigated and corrective actions completed on time.<\/li>\n<li>Act on all corrective actions assigned to you or under your jurisdiction and ensure timely completion.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with AGAG Environmental Management, compliance and other legal requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Take action to prevent environmental pollution.<\/li>\n<li>Correct, or report to their supervisor, any observed environmental deviations, practices and conditions as well make suggestions to improve any aspect of environmental management.<\/li>\n<li>Follow the established procedures if incident occur by reporting to the Supervisor.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all orders are expedited pro-actively prior to due delivery dates. Liaising with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with end-users and project team to monitor and expedite priority orders based on criticality approved purchase orders in SAP in response to the winning bids.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with Scheduler to maintain and update the schedule with due delivery dates and highlight changes in delivery dates.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure deliveries are made in accordance with contract specifications.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain record of written correspondence with suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with Ports and Harbour Unit (PHU) on daily shipment tracking reports.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that export\/import documentation is correct to avoid clearance delays and generate shipping tracking documents.<\/li>\n<li>Update critical expediting register with shipment information and tracking.<\/li>\n<li>Hold weekly meetings with Suppliers and freight forwarders to track deliveries, load planning and shipment schedules.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Qualification<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of HND \/Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Procurement &amp; Supply, Economics, Commerce or Supply Chain management will be an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Experience\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least Three (3) years\u2019 experience working in a supply chain environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Technical Competencies<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Familiarity with SAP ERP system or equivalent ERP application<\/li>\n<li>Sound knowledge and ability to work with Microsoft suite<\/li>\n<li>Proficient understanding of materials and services procurement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Other Competencies<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing oneself \u2013 taking ownership of one\u2019s personal development<\/li>\n<li>Building effective working relationships<\/li>\n<li>Building trust &amp; accountability \u2013 displaying high levels of integrity and honesty<\/li>\n<li>Maximizing performance results \u2013 solving problems and analyzing issues, driving for results.<\/li>\n<li>Displaying technical and professional expertise<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited, Obuasi Gold Mine is currently near completion of the redevelopment phase to become a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation.
