The Aquaya Institute (Aquaya<\/strong>) is an independent, non-profit research and consulting organization dedicated to safe, equitable, and sustainable water and sanitation in low-resource settings.\u00a0Our mission is to improve public health by reducing the burden of waterborne diseases<\/strong>. Aquaya was established in 2005 to provide development agencies, governments, and implementing organizations with a trustworthy and agile resource for conducting rigorous research, experimentation, and evaluation.<\/p>\n

Aquaya has completed projects spanning public health, economics, technology development, and social entrepreneurship in over 20 countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. We have published or contributed to over 40 peer-reviewed research articles and produced numerous other reports and publications.<\/p>\n

Aquaya maintains an office in Nairobi, Kenya. Staff members are also in the US, Ghana, Uganda, France, Ethiopia, and Morocco. Many of our projects are carried out in collaboration with academic research groups and expert consultants.<\/p>\n

Job Title: Water Research Fellowship<\/strong><\/p>\n

About the Fellowship<\/strong><\/p>\n

Are you an MSc or PhD student enrolled in a Kenyan or Ghanaian University and specializing in public health, environmental resource management, or urban planning?<\/p>\n

Do you have a passion for applying science and technology to solve fundamental development challenges?<\/p>\n

Are you looking for an opportunity to collaborate with leading researchers dedicated to safe drinking water and better sanitation in Africa?<\/p>\n

If you answered yes to all of the above, apply for a three-month research fellowship with the Aquaya Institute that will begin in May 2023. Fellows must be available to work full-time. Fellows will receive the following support:<\/p>\n
