{"id":85489,"date":"2023-04-14T16:30:13","date_gmt":"2023-04-14T16:30:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=85489"},"modified":"2023-04-14T16:30:13","modified_gmt":"2023-04-14T16:30:13","slug":"dangote-industries-limited-jobs-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/dangote-industries-limited-jobs-2023.html","title":{"rendered":"Dangote Industries Limited Jobs 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Provide general and specialized legal support services to DC Ghana and DC Sierra Leone in liaison with Legal Department DCP HQ through the Regional Counsel.<\/p>\n<p>Ensure that DC Ghana and DC Sierra Leone are compliant with the legal and regulatory requirements of the operating environment and legal risks to the business are controlled and mitigated.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Legal Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Duties And Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Review cases filed against the company, appraise merits\/demerits of the cases, defense available (if any), profile suitable law firm that will defend the company, negotiate terms of engagement, and obtain approval to instruct the law firm accordingly.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensuring timely filings of statutory reports and returns in liaising with relevant Departments and Units and renewal of licenses and permits.<\/li>\n<li>Review and drafting of contracts and Service Level Agreements.<\/li>\n<li>Providing legal advisory services to business as may be requested.<\/li>\n<li>Appraise and identify outstanding governance issues for the companies; Liaise\/engage professionals to ensure that appropriate steps are taken to comply with the laws.<\/li>\n<li>Registration\/dissolution of companies upon request; Registration of trademarks and other intellectual properties; monitoring for infringement and liaising with professional advisors to ensure protection of the marks.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the extraction and collation of relevant materials to facilitate the preparation of legal reports.<\/li>\n<li>Function a the company\u2019s primary liaison with external counsel (where required) and ensure effective relationship management.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the appointment\/selection of DC Ghana and DC Sierra Leone external counsel\/ solicitors.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor litigation cases, manage the organisation\u2019s legal exposure and ensure adequate representation is provided for DC Ghana and DC Sierra Leone<\/li>\n<li>Assist in preparing and reviewing regulatory dispute resolution submissions and advise on regulatory matters.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the development and maintenance of a database of all litigation\/ dispute resolution cases and their associated documents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Law (LL.B) and BL (Ghana)<\/li>\n<li>Relevant post graduate degree or professional qualifications.<\/li>\n<li>5 \u2013 10 years post-call related work experience, preferably in manufacturing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills And Behaviours<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislations relating to the cement manufacturing industry.<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of Companies product offerings.<\/li>\n<li>Sound and up-to-date knowledge of corporate governance laws, issues, trends, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge, understanding and ability to interpret Board procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Diplomacy and good interpersonal relationship skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational and project management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong presentation and facilitation skill<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Private Health Insurance<\/li>\n<li>Pension Plan<\/li>\n<li>Paid Time Off<\/li>\n<li>Training &amp; Development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Provide general and specialized legal support services to DC Ghana and DC Sierra Leone in liaison with Legal Department DCP HQ through the Regional Counsel.
