The NGO seeks qualified candidates for a Deputy Chief Of Party (DCOP), Business Services Specialist, Financial Sector Capacity Building Specialist, and Agricultural Investment Expert:<\/p>\n
Deputy Chief Of Party:<\/strong> The Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) will work closely with the Chief of Party and project staff to ensure effective and timely implementation. The DCOP should possess a strong background in agricultural finance, experience working in both the private sector and with donors, and knowledge of the three priority value crops: rice, maize, and soya. The DCOP\u2019s key responsibilities will include assisting the Chief of Party in overseeing project implementation, providing agribusinesses and commercial farmers with advisory services, and working with the Agriculture Investment Fund to facilitate private investments important to modernizing the rice, maize, and soya value chains. Potential candidates should have extensive experience working in Ghana, demonstrated experience and knowledge of the Ghanaian financial sector, and the ability to manage the staff of a multi-faceted program.<\/p>\n Business Services Specialist:<\/strong> The Business Services Specialist will support prospective portfolio companies develop and present their business plans to prospective investors and lenders. The Business Services Specialist will provide support to a prospective portfolio in the following categories: project preparation and investment proposal, social engagement and investment facilitation. Potential candidates should have extensive experience working in Ghana, demonstrated experience increasing companies\u2019 access to capital, and improving companies\u2019 social engagement, especially with regards to empowering female entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n Financial Sector Capacity Building Specialist:<\/strong> The Financial Sector Capacity Building Specialist will lead technical assistance activities to Ghanaian financial intermediaries to develop their capacity to effectively assess, underwrite, and structure agricultural related transactions. In addition, support will be given to expand the capacity of Ghanaian financial intermediaries to undertake agriculture related investment and\/or to develop agriculture lending units and agricultural certification programs. Potential candidates should have extensive experience working in the Ghanaian financial sector, demonstrated experience building the capacity of financial firms, and knowledge of both the potential and constraints related to agricultural finance.<\/p>\n Agricultural Investment Expert: The Agricultural Investment Expert will oversee the Agricultural Investment Fund (Fund) which will support investments in portfolio companies through direct investment and funds which flow through financial intermediaries. The Fund will make direct investments in portfolio companies through matching grants, repayable grants, and equity investment. In addition, the Fund will support Ghanaian financial intermediaries that lend or invest in portfolio companies with risk mitigation instruments, such as partial loan guarantees, incentive grants, and technical advisory services. The Agricultural Investment Expert will oversee the Investment Committee which reviews and approves transactions proposed for financial support through the fund. The Agricultural Investment Expert will have extensive experience in asset management, due-diligence, and investment tracking and reporting.
