Job Title: Products and Services Manager\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Role purpose<\/b><\/p>\n

Develop, lead, and implement the strategic plan for Vodafone\u2019s Products and Services function, Data, Voice, Pricing, VAS Roaming & International and new product development, this will include various financial and sales targets, usage penetration and consumer satisfaction goals.
\nIn addition role is responsible for Segments and prepositions, Commercial Execution, CXX and Device Management. Responsible for Pricing across all products and services stringent execution of tariffs plans across the various channels. Take responsibility for achieving the revenue challenge and drive the Vodafone Tech 2025 agenda from a Telco to a TechCo.<\/p>\n

Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Accountable for the overall performance of the Department and Product related results.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Develop and implement business plans that achieve category and segment business objectives.<\/p>\n

Optimizing departmental P&L
\nMaximize device sales
\nMaximizing penetration and revenue of the category.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Managing the ordering of new device models, managing inventories and subsidy budget. The role will also set sales targets and initiatives, initiate marketing plans for devices and manage the sales process end to end.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Manage data products portfolio, profitability, and projection of usage (traffic), subscriber growth and revenue growth.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Launch new products, marketing campaigns as well as manage the partnerships with major players in the data space.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Validation of research plan participates at innovation proposal process and Preparation of a product\/process improvement brief.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Validating consumer product needs from Product\/Process brief profile and validate product brief profile for product\/process improvements.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Defining and validating creative brief, and developing internal and external communication strategy (including communication bulletin and launch event)
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Lead the team to Identify, develop, and maximize right pricing methodology to meet business objectives for all products.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure profitability of products by reaching the desired satisfaction of consumer
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Guarantee cross-functional cooperation and communication with other Departmental Managers to achieve time to market effectiveness and organizational efficiency.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ensure that all processes are aligned with corporate policies.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Using market and customer-based insights to develop compelling offers to acquire target customers [including management of all VAS, Roaming and International Operator agreements]
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Identifying market trends, opportunities, and risks to support Consumer Business pricing, tariffs and promotions that drive Voice revenue and customer acquisition for Non-Voice, Roaming & International customers
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Responsible for the P&L [business case] of Voice, Non-Voice, Roaming & International offers
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to deliver against the roadmap and bring offerings to market
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Making sure product performance targets are being tracked, monitored with appropriate reporting of any variations from expected trends.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Voice Revenue (inc. PAYG, Incoming, Roaming and IDD) is circa 65% of consumer revenue and requires focus re pricing and opportunities for growth
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ownership and management of the relationship with new customers [acquisition plus first 3 months with Vodafone]
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Developing a portfolio\/roadmap of customer offerings for testing, implementation and roll-out that is within the marketing budget and aligned to the overall marketing roadmap
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Working with internal stakeholders to deliver compelling customer offerings to market through an ever-evolving Non-Voice product set that are aligned with our core pillars.
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Take on innovative products from strategy and segment team, see these through to launch. Once launched work for up to a period of 6 months to ensure product\/service is fully settled then pass on to appropriate segment for business-as-usual operational monitoring.<\/p>\n

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Substantial experience in consumer marketing, product or brand management or strategic planning
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Strong industry understanding and knowledge
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Experience in delivering marketing insights and leading strategy within a large, complex organization
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Experience in telecommunications, mobile and network services
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Experience in developing and or managing Value Added Services including Data
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Experience in Roaming & International business propositions and operations
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong working relationships across the organisation
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Result-oriented \u2013 able to recommend and take corrective action, if appropriate
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Commercially-minded \u2013 comfortable with financial data and\/or making business cases
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Strong commercial acumen
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Strong leadership skills
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Should be a good people manager with the ability to drive through projects to expected cost, timelines and scope
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Good presentation skills
\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Ability to work with cross-functional teams and with good stakeholder management skills.

Must have technical \/professional qualifications<\/b><\/p>\n

University degree in marketing, communication, engineering and\/or business administration.
\nPreferably an MBA or master\u2019s degree
\nMinimum 10+ years of Managerial experience
\nExperience in managing teams
\nFocus on cross-functional teams<\/p>\n
