Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited (PMGL) has recently commissioned the world-class Edikan gold project in the Western Region of Ghana. Edikan Gold Mine (EGM) has a current mining reserve of 3.3M oz of gold from a resource base of 4.3M oz. The Edikan processing facility has been designed as a 5.5Mtpa processing facility with the ability to expand this to 8Mtpa in the future. The plant is capable of producing at a rate of 220-270,000oz gold<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Perseus Mining (Ghana)\u00a0Limited is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to apply for the position of:\u00a0Instrumentation Technician.<\/p>\n<p>The Instrumentation Technician, reporting to the Electrical Instrumentation Supervisor, will be responsible for effective maintenance of the Processing Plant and site infrastructure at the Perseus Mining (Ghana)\u00a0Limited, located near Ayanfuri.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:-<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that\u00a0all electrical installations\u00a0and housekeeping is maintained to a very high standard and the appropriate\u00a0paper work completed and\u00a0returned to your Supervisor;<\/li>\n<li>Carry out duties as instructed by the Electrical Instrumentation\u00a0Supervisor and\u00a0Mechanical Supervisors during your attendance on site;<\/li>\n<li>Attend the daily pre-start and participate in safety and work related issues;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain regular and effective communication and feedback with peers and supervisors;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all duties are\u00a0carried out in\u00a0a safe, efficient and timely manner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>The position is site based and the Company offers a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the candidates&#8217; qualifications and experience<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The successful applicant must possess degree in Electrical\/Electromechanical\/Instrumentation Engineering with 6 years professional work experience in Process Plant Maintenance in a large-scale gold processing operation<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in PLC, able to calibrate and repair instruments and read and analyse PID are essential<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested qualified applicants should submit one MSWord document only which includes a cover letter, detailed CV of his\/her qualifications and work history and the names of at least 3 referees.
