The new position is Communications Lead, which is a full-time position based in Accra, Ghana with hybrid working arrangements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Communications Lead\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To lead the development and implementation of TGL\u2019s Communications Strategies that supports the company\u2019s objectives and enhances its reputation. Will entail leading internal and external communications initiatives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The following are the key roles and responsibilities of the successful candidate<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Communications and Media Relations<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive Communications, PR and Media strategy that supports TGL\u2019s objectives and enhances its reputation.<\/li>\n<li>Manage all internal and external communications, including media relations, public relations, investor relations and employee communications.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and Manage relationships with key stakeholders including journalists, media analysts, influencers, and other media institutions.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as a company representative on media engagements and enquiries.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain crisis communications plan and protocols.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and execute employee communications strategy that keeps employees informed and engaged.<\/li>\n<li>Advise the External Affairs Manager and other business managers on effective communication strategies that will enhance TGL\u2019s reputation.<\/li>\n<li>Effectively manage communication team in the delivery of the communications strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with cross functional teams in Ghana and across Tullow\u2019s operations to ensure consistent messaging and execution of strategies that enhance the reputation of the company.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with Tullow group communications team to roll out the company\u2019s communication priorities for Ghana.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the effective delivery of corporate events.<\/li>\n<li>Manage and supervise TGL\u2019s engagements with media agencies.<\/li>\n<li>Effectively manage Tullow\u2019s communications risk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Investor Relations<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support Tullow Group Investor Relations team to deliver on investor initiatives in Ghana.<\/li>\n<li>Manage TGL\u2019s communication and engagements with investor community.<\/li>\n<li>Support Tullow Group to deliver on regulatory compliance obligations in Ghana.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge\/Qualifications<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree (1st Class or 2nd Upper minimum) in Communications, or related field.<\/li>\n<li>A relevant master\u2019s degree.<\/li>\n<li>A certification in Journalism will be a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills \/Professional Experience<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of 10 years\u2019 experience in corporate communications.<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing relationships with media analysts and stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing crisis communication.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to think creatively and strategically.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced skills in presenting and reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable editorial judgement.<\/li>\n<li>High organization and coordination skills<\/li>\n<li>Credited with several publications<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Social media platforms and their effective use in corporate communications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Achieve This, We Offer Our Employees<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regular working from home, with on average 2 working days per week in the office<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage working hours to balance work\/life commitments<\/li>\n<li>A performance-driven culture that generates results<\/li>\n<li>A commitment to your personal and professional development<\/li>\n<li>A chance to make a difference to our business, working in or leading teams of talented, committed people<\/li>\n<li>A culture that appreciates diversity &amp; inclusion and provides equal opportunities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Recognition and reward for your performance<\/p>\n<p>Our philosophy is to bring people into Tullow with whom we can build a strong, mutually beneficial, and long-lasting relationship.
