The position will be based in Accra, Ghana. The individual will be responsible for all areas of G&amp;A budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and reporting; Managing time writing in the BU; and coordinating the budgeting and forecasting of contingent workforce. Also responsible for tracking\/monitoring the BU monthly management reporting timetable to ensure timely closure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Financial Planning Accountant<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Successful Candidate Responsibilities Include<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinating the annual BU G&amp;A (Ghana and out of country) budget and reforecasting processes and engaging with the budget holders to ensure BU and Corporate G&amp;A guidelines are clearly understood and applied<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with HR to ensure accuracy and completeness of BU budgeted, forecasted, and actual head count, and costing of staff payroll and benefits.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating with budget holders and HR to budget and account for contingent workforce<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring G&amp;A input models in TM1\/Cognos, etc are completed and reviewed.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing and leading the review of monthly departmental\/functional G&amp;A management reports<\/li>\n<li>Manage the BU time writing process to ensure compliance and ensuring validity time writing charges from outside the BU.<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing Head Office recharges and including the time-writing certification process<\/li>\n<li>Redundancy \u2013 budgeting, forecasting, accounting &amp; reporting<\/li>\n<li>Managing the monthly G&amp;A allocation process<\/li>\n<li>Track\/Monitor the BU monthly management reporting timetable to ensure timely closure of all tasks.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure complete and accurate accounting of Intercompany receivables &amp; payables, including accruals for the same<\/li>\n<li>Monthly accounting for travel costs and reconciliation of Travel Control account and follow up with TMC to improve process and reducing rework. Support for recharging of travel costs and concur related issues.<\/li>\n<li>Compiling Finance Department budget and forecasts<\/li>\n<li>Support all audits by providing responses to IRs in areas of responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Actively participate in all risk and assurance activities within finance and the BU department<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum 3 plus years\u2019 experience post qualified experience in finance<\/li>\n<li>Strong experience in management accounting, budgeting, or forecasting<\/li>\n<li>Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially, Excel and PowerPoint<\/li>\n<li>SAP experience<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills with a professional attitude<\/li>\n<li>Adept at dealing with individuals at all levels in the organization.<\/li>\n<li>High attention to detail and quality, \u2018first right time\u2019 approach<\/li>\n<li>Excellent time management skills<\/li>\n<li>Shows aptitude for continuous improvement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education And Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of a Bachelor\u2019s degree<\/li>\n<li>Membership in one of the professional accounting bodies (e.g. CA, CIMA, ACCA, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In Tullow, all individuals are treated fairly and respectfully, and everyone has equal access opportunities and resources to enable them to contribute to Tullow\u2019s overall success.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tullow Oil is a well-established, recognized, and African focused independent oil and gas company.
