Established in 1874, we have grown to become the world leader in mining and civil blasting with a diverse of team of more than 13,000 across the world.It\u2019s an exciting time to join us \u2013 we are shaping the future of mining through digital and automated technologies, embracing new ways of thinking, pioneering innovation, and reimagining the way we work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Engineer\/Rep \u2013 Technical Services<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>About The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Engineer \u2013 Technical Services to be based at our client site in Akyem Gold mine in Ghana.The primary purpose of this role is to support customer Technical Services requirements including a strong emphasis on Product Stewardship, delivery of measurable value to customers and sustainable revenue to Orica.In return for your professional commitment, we can offer a healthy salary, genuine career pathways and support into leadership or engineering specialisation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What you will be doing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adhering to &amp; being proactive in site safety promotion;<\/li>\n<li>Developing Customer Technical Relationship;<\/li>\n<li>Analysing blast measurements and assessing performance against a baseline;<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of differentiation product and services offerings;<\/li>\n<li>Managing product \/ service implementation projects;<\/li>\n<li>Developing case studies, Product application stewardship;<\/li>\n<li>Training and accrediting customers in Orica courses;<\/li>\n<li>Training and mentoring for Blast Technicians; operations personnel and Graduates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What you will bring<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline;<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 1 \u2013 3 years\u2019 experience in the mineral resources industry, preferably through multiple sites and commodities;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to undertake complex blast designs and troubleshoot customer concerns;<\/li>\n<li>Good Blasting Knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Well-developed understanding of mining processes and key drivers<\/li>\n<li>Competent with general drill &amp; blast designs<\/li>\n<li>Competent in pre and post blast measurement and assessment techniques<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What we offer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of a truly global company, you will have the ability to grow and learn in a diverse, collaborative culture.
