{"id":911,"date":"2010-09-21T01:22:48","date_gmt":"2010-09-21T01:22:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=911"},"modified":"2010-09-20T12:25:18","modified_gmt":"2010-09-20T12:25:18","slug":"volta-river-authority-manager-ict-infrastructure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/volta-river-authority-manager-ict-infrastructure.html","title":{"rendered":"Volta River Authority: Manager ICT infrastructure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Northern Electricity Distribution Company (NEDCo)<\/strong>, a subsidiary of the Volta River Authority, whose mission is to procure electricity and distribute it efficiently, safely and reliably in the northern sector of Ghana in a commercially viable manner.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Function:<\/strong><br \/>\nResponsible for the design, development, implementation, and management and monitoring of the Authority&#8217;s ICT infrastructure<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for Corporate Information Security and the design, installation, configuration, maintenance and management of corporate networks i.e. Local Area Networks infrastructure to support work corporate-wide<\/li>\n<li>Manage the Authority&#8217;s networking and Information Systems, including Corporate Anti-virus protection as well as the development, regular update and implementation of security policies and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the operation of the Authority&#8217;s Data Centre at the Head Office and other Server Farms and ensure the development, operation and management of an appropriate Disaster Recovery (DR) or Alternate Processing Site<\/li>\n<li>Ensure regular updates of appropriate Backup &amp; Disaster Recovery Regimes are implemented to ensure business continuity at all times<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper installation, configuration, maintenance and management of the Authority&#8217;s Corporate Electronic Messaging infrastructure<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the Hardware Management Unit for the planning, acquisition, deployment and maintenance of all corporate hardware equipment\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A recognized first degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of twelve (12) years relevant post qualification experience<\/li>\n<li>Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification and\/or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification<\/li>\n<li>VMware Certified Professional (VCP) and\/or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP)<\/li>\n<li>And any one of the following Security Certifications:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol>\n<li>GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP)<\/li>\n<li>GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)<\/li>\n<li>Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)<\/li>\n<li>Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>In Addition The Candidates Must:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have demonstrated ability to provide leadership and guidance to staff<\/li>\n<li>Be a team player, a good negotiator, with demonstrated ability to motivate staff and encourage participation in decision-making process<\/li>\n<li>Have strong analytical, supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Be energetic, proactive, dedicated, performance-driven and capable of working under stress\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants with the requisite qualifications and experience may apply, giving detailed Curriculum Vitae, copies of their certificates, together with testimonials from two referees, both of whom must be professionally connected with their work, and a contact telephone number, to reach:<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Director, Human Resource<br \/>\nVolta River Authority<br \/>\nP.
