We are currently operational in seven countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Senegal and Ivory Coast, and have recently launched in South Africa and Tanzania.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking to engage competent and experienced\u00a0<strong>Project Engineers\u00a0<\/strong>to install, maintain and operate our large capacity sites in Ghana. He or she will work with the team to install PV inverters, commission new equipment, and increase customer satisfaction through quality service and professional behaviour. We prohibit all forms of discrimination and harassment based on race, colour, gender, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, genetic information, pregnancy or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.<\/p>\n<p>Qualified women are encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Project Engineer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Project Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing project plans to execute sales contracts.<\/li>\n<li>Designing and planning solar power installations<\/li>\n<li>Leading the supply chain process including sourcing and ordering parts internationally and locally<\/li>\n<li>Conducting quality assurance of technical installations of both Daybreak\u2019s team as well as the installations of our technical partners<\/li>\n<li>Directing, coordinating, and supervising the installations of solar power solutions; and<\/li>\n<li>Training clients on the operation and optimal utilization of systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Sales Engineering<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leading client conversations through emails, phone calls and in person meetings<\/li>\n<li>Performing energy audits on client sites<\/li>\n<li>Designing of PV systems (on grid, off grid, hybrid)<\/li>\n<li>Developing sales proposals to drive the sales process<\/li>\n<li>Preparing and submitting tender documents (specifications, bill of quantities, drawings, etc.) and designs as per requirements<\/li>\n<li>Driving the full sales process from proposal drafting to contract execution; and<\/li>\n<li>Working with the legal department in respect of all draft agreements in connection with your role<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Service<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Actively monitoring site performance and preparation of monthly reports for clients<\/li>\n<li>Resolving site issues remotely and through site visits; and<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring customer satisfaction<\/li>\n<li>Serving as the first line of contact for any client complaints<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>General<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Implement standard operating procedures and HSE standards for solar installation work<\/li>\n<li>Review technological trends in the local and global energy sector<\/li>\n<li>Develop and coach technical staff<\/li>\n<li>Assist in market research and identify energy projects in Ghana.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Working condition<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Approximately 30% of time shall be spent in office environments with the remaining time in the field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Education: Minimum of a bachelor\u2019s degree in Electrical Engineering<\/li>\n<li>Experience: A minimum of 5 years\u2019 work experience in Electrical Engineering roles and managing large scale and industrial projects in the solar industry (preferred) or power industry<\/li>\n<li>Professional Membership: Preferably a professional engineer with NSE, COREN and engineering certifications<\/li>\n<li>Language Proficiency: English<\/li>\n<li>Character:<\/li>\n<li>Proven leadership experience<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated and demonstrate a sense of ownership with high level of commitment and the ability to thrive under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills and ability to lead and work well in teams<\/li>\n<li>Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands, passion for renewable energy<\/li>\n<li>Attention to details and extraordinary oral and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Willingness to adapt, learn and grow with the company<\/li>\n<li>High level of integrity<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in a group<\/li>\n<li>Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands, passion for renewable energy<\/li>\n<li>PMP Certification is a plus<\/li>\n<li>HSE certification is an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Flexible to travel domestically and internationally<\/li>\n<li>Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) \u2013 report writing and analysis.77<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Opportunity to work in a forward-looking, innovative company, with international group of colleagues<\/li>\n<li>Unlimited career opportunities \u2013 depending on achievements and personal development<\/li>\n<li>A competitive salary and benefits package with long term prospect in a fast-growing company<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Please note only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Daystar Power Group is a Pan-African provider of solar and hybrid power solutions, offering its systems on a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), fixed monthly fee lease or buy-out basis.
