{"id":99,"date":"2010-06-14T00:58:34","date_gmt":"2010-06-14T00:58:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=99"},"modified":"2010-10-21T17:34:41","modified_gmt":"2010-10-21T17:34:41","slug":"national-population-council-executive-director","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/national-population-council-executive-director.html","title":{"rendered":"National Population Council Vacancies: Executive Director"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>National Population Council <\/strong>coordinates the implementation of the policy and programmes, fosters functional linkages and harmonises population issues among sectoral ministries, institutions and agencies at the national, regional and district levels<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Object of the Position:<\/strong><br \/>\nUnder the general policy direction of the Governing Council, the Executive Director plans, manages and co-ordinates programmes and activities of the NPC Secretariat<\/p>\n<p>Advise the Council on policies for the achievement of the objectives of the Council and implement decisions of the Council<br \/>\nProvide overall leadership, co-ordination, direction and supervision of the operations of the NPC Secretariat<br \/>\nResponsible for the day-to-day administration and financial management of the NPC Secretariat<br \/>\nRegularly prepare and submit relevant technical papers and reports to the Council<br \/>\nResponsible for the preparation of annual budget and effective financial management of the Council<br \/>\nEstablish effective linkages with sector Ministries, Departments and Agencies to harmonise the work of the Council<br \/>\nLiaise with development partners with the view to regulate and co-ordinate the forms and levels of resources mobilisation for population activities<br \/>\nSpeak on population issues on behalf of the Council<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A Master&#8217;s degree in Social Sciences, Population Studies, Demography or Business Administration from a recognised University<br \/>\nMust have not less than twelve (12) years post-qualification relevant work experience, three (3) years which should be in senior management position<br \/>\nA Doctorate Degree will be added advantage<br \/>\nApplicants should not be more than 55 years at the time of application<\/p>\n<p><strong>Competencies:<\/strong><br \/>\nAdministrative, management and leadership skills<br \/>\nGood presentation, negotiation and persuasive skills<br \/>\nStrong analytical and quantative skills<br \/>\nAbility to provide strategies vision<br \/>\nStrong computer literacy skills<br \/>\nAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlines<br \/>\nKnowledge of the Financial Administrative Act, Public Procurement Act and Internal Audit Agency Act<\/p>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicant should send their application letter and current Curriculum Vitae together with supporting documents, statement of the applicant&#8217;s vision for the NPC including three (3) references, indicating, office and residential telephone numbers and e-mail address to:<\/p>\n<p>THE SECRETARY<br \/>\nPUBLIC SERVICES COMMISSION<br \/>\nP.
