The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director and lead the Corporate Banking Division the bank. Will have overall responsibility for the development and coordination of product strategies for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the teams to grow the market share, volumes and revenues from quality assets/liabilities and fee income whilst managing costs
  • Ensure the achievement of agreed return on capital every year
  • Responsible for the Corporate Banking Budget and Forecasts
  • Responsible for overall Commercial Banking (CB) and Transactional Banking (TB) strategy and policy formulation and accountable for implementation of the strategy
  • Maintain high customer service standards (internal and external)
  • Manage operational risk, including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting
  • Proactively manage credit, operational and country risks
  • Maintain the Bank’s compliance standards and credit control policies at all times and minimizing the exposure to Credit Risk
  • Develop and lead a high performance culture within corporate Banking and train/develop staff
  • Maintain the Bank’s internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators


Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelors degree in the business stream
  • A.C.I.B or relevant Masters Program/Professional qualification will be an advantage
  • 8 years in a Senior Corporate Relationship Management role
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Must have experience in selling and structuring working capital short-term facilities
  • Ability to coach and lead by example, and create a strong customer service culture
  • Strong sales and marketing instincts. Able to personally originate new business but more importantly, create similar business development skills across the team
  • Strong analytical and lateral thinking skills
