Xavier Group is in search of a resourceful programming intern to assist in developing and maintaining our software applications. The intern will work with our in-house programming team to assist in all programming activities of the company. The successful candidate will contribute to developing, expanding and maintaining Xavier Group’s software applications.

Job Description

Job Title:  Programmer Intern

Responsibilities
Help in the development of web based and mobile applications including our MediaWatch and MiSurvey platforms.
Maintain applications developed by Xavier Group.
Make enhancements to pre-existing applications.
Build mobile applications to enhance our product offerings.

Requirements

Current enrollment in a computer science or related degree program
Must have a good understanding of MySQL databases.
Must be proficient in backend web languages; knowledge of PHP is key.
Must have knowledge in web technologies – at least HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Knowledge in Ajax is a plus.
Ability to use Angular together with the Ionic Framework in building rich hybrid mobile applications.
Ability to develop mobile native mobile apps for android and IOS.
Solid understanding of troubleshooting and problem analysis procedures; ability to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
Adequate knowledge of MS Office Suite
Excellent communication skills
Self-starter who pays attention to detail
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Hardworking and dedicated outlook
Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly

Knowledge of Drupal CMS
