Zormelo & Associates is seeking highly motivated, numerate, articulate and meticulous individuals to place with its client in the financial services sector.
Job Title: Teller (Contract)
To give out outstanding performance through admirable customer service and transactional processing in a branch with a back office interface.
Undertake end to end cashier duties as well as managing timely cash evacuations and balancing of till.
Identify when & where to refer customers to an appropriate area of delivery for specialist help and advice
Action any complaints received in accordance with procedures.
Deliver world class customer service practices and ensure adherence to the Bank’s standards
Advises customers on the bank’s products
Comply with operational risk and rigour standards in respect of protecting people, customers, assets and the organization.
Ensure compliance with operational risk & rigour requirements e.g. Health and Safety standards, security of premises etc.
Comply with relevant legislation e.g. KYC, banking code service standards, fraud prevention and money laundering procedures
Maintain counter performance statistics for management information usage
Achieve operational rigour excellence in all aspects of activities, processes and procedures undertaken to ensure a satisfactory audit.
Participate in local events to support local needs, develop individual and team skills to raise the Bank’s profile in the local community.
Agree performance development objectives with the team leader.
Pursue self-development to increase personal effectiveness, acknowledging strengths and areas for development.
Achieve individual customer service targets and support the achievement of team targets by working within relevant service level agreements
Provide cover for other Team members as and when it becomes necessary
Constantly seek to improve ways of working by challenging the status quo and supporting an empowering climate within the team, sharing knowledge, experience, best practice and providing constructive feedback as required.
Support and adopt the implementation of change initiatives.
Give leads to Sales Managers
An HND or a degree from a recognized University or equivalent professional qualification.
Good numeracy skills
Keyboarding / PC skills
A high level of drive and determination
Working knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation e.g. KYC, money laundering, banking code, service standards, health and safety standards etc
Working knowledge and understanding of banking cash management and vault procedures
Working understanding of technical systems e.g. Brains, FOS etc.
Good communication skills
Good interpersonal and relationship skills.
Good personal organisation skills
Some previous experience in a Sales and Service-type role would be beneficial
Visual concentration relating to screen-based work
Manual dexterity relating to keyboarding activity
Will be required to work flexibly across a range of processes and activities at a similar level
