Job Description

Job Title: Director-General

We are looking for a dynamic and results oriented individual to fill the position of the Director-General at the Ghana-India Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT(AITI-KACE).

Key Responsibilities

1. Provides general oversight of all AITI-KAC activities, manages the day-to-day operations.
2. Assures program quality and organizational stability through development and implementation of standards and controls, systems and procedures, and regular evaluation.
3. Provides oversight for pricing of existing programmes and new proposals determined within the established guidelines while ensuring business and sustainability targets are achieved
4. Oversees the fiscal activities of the organization including budgeting, reporting and audit.
5. Acts as an advocate, within the public and private sectors, for issues relevant to AITI-KACE, its services and constituencies.
6. Produces and ensures the production of high quality, peer-reviewed papers by members of faculty

Required Skills or Experience

• A PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline with ten (10) years post qualification experience or a Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with fifteen (15) years post qualification experience preferably a mix of public administration/organisational development and academics;

Competencies

• Must have excellent leadership and people management skills
• Must have business management skills
• Must have project management skills
