Our client is a growing microfinance institution based in Cape Coast. The institution is expanding its operations and seeks to recruit staff.

The Accountant will:
Ensure that financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures of the institution
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
Prepare financial management reports and ensure that all internal and external reporting deadlines, including audit, tax, and third parties are met
Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources, provide recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems
Establish and ensure that appropriate accounting control systems required for the effective operations of the institution are implemented

Required Skills or Experience

As a Accountant you must have:

A minimum of 1st degree in an Accounting related field with at least two (2) years work experience in a similar position in a microfinance or financial institution or
A minimum of HND Accounting with at least three (3) years work experience in a similar position in a microfinance or financial institution
Professional qualification of part or fully qualified ICA/ACCA will be an added advantage
Excellent computer skills particularly in Microsoft Excel. Be familiar with or have some experience in the use of accounting/loan software, preferably Loan Performer
High Financial acumen and ability to work with a team
Good communication skills
