Job Description

Job roles and responsibilities:
The role will report to the Board of Directors:

1.Verify the company’s assets register
2.Check the accuracy of accounting records and ensure taxes are paid and on time
3.Review procedures and ensure that standard accounting practices are maintained
4.Detect errors and institute system of internal checks for the prevention of such deviations and ensure that statutory regulations are adhered to
5.Carry out pre and post audit of all financial claims and salaries before payment
6.Ensure adequate documentary evidence for all transactions
7.Liaise with external auditors and follow up on review points raised by external auditors
8.Prepare reports on the internal control of the company to the Managing Director

Required Skills or Experience

Qualification and Experience:

1.A degree in Business Administration (Accounting Option)
2.Professional Accounting qualification; ACCA or ICA
3.Minimum ten (10) years post qualification working experience of which five years in management position
4.Computer literate
