The Information Technology Manager shall be responsible for supporting the computer end-users with problem reporting, identification and resolution configuration of PCs and other IT equipment as required. The role reports to the IT Program Manager

Key Responsibilities:

•Troubleshoot IT problems, hardware and software, and escalate as appropriate.

•Record and update all problems in Service Desk trouble-ticketing system.

•Receive tickets assigned through Service-Now or assignments from WA IT Administrator.

•Set up new PC workstations, printers, and other peripherals using Corporate tools and standards.

•Assist local users in complying with Corporate standards.

•Report and assist Corporate IT team with any breaches of security, virus alerts and inappropriate use of Company IT and network resources.

•Change or arrange regular (daily) changing of backup tapes where required, and ensure secure storage of tapes in fire safe or approved off-site storage.

•Raise requests for purchases of IT-related equipment, and process deliveries of equipment including recording and entering into asset register.

•Adhere to company’s software licensing policy.

•Assume additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.

 

Required Skills or Experience

•A.S./B.S. degree in computer science or related degree or equivalent experience

•3+ years experience as a hardware/software technician in a business environment

•Relevant professional IT-related qualifications would be an advantage

•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and operating systems

•Working knowledge of PC in a networking environment

•Ability to learn new products quickly

•Hardware and software configurations

•Good troubleshooting skills (hardware/software)

•System software knowledge/experience (Windows 7, Windows XP)

•Outstanding people skills and customer service skills orientation

•Able to handle rapidly changing priorities, high visibility and high stress situations

•Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills
